What to expect
The Perfume Pagoda is a vast complex of Buddhist temples and shrines nestled in the Limestone Mountains. This significant site hosts a religious festival that attracts numerous pilgrims from across Vietnam. The pagodas are spread among the limestone hills and tropical forests in the Huong Mountain area, making it a stunning location to visit.
You'll depart from Ha Noi at 8:00 AM for a 2-hour drive through the picturesque countryside, followed by a 1.5-hour boat trip along the scenic Yen Stream to the Perfume Pagoda. After a short transfer, you'll take a cable car to the spectacular Huong Tich Cave at the top of the mountain.
At Huong Tich, you'll find statues of deities, and many pilgrims come to receive blessings from the stalactites and stalagmites, which are named and hold special significance. Notably, the “golden tree” and the “silver tree” stalactites are considered particularly lucky.
On your return journey, you'll visit Giai Oan Spring and Tuyet Son Pagoda. Afterwards, lunch will be served at a local restaurant before we head back to Ha Noi, filled with memories of this enchanting experience.
