What to expect

If you're staying in Bari, and you'd like to visit the city of Alberobello, but don't know how to reach it, this tour is right for you!

A driver will accompany you to the City of Trulli. Once in Alberobello, you'll meet your local guide. You'll visit the Monumental Zone of the Trulli, called "Rione Monti", famous for the presence of more than a thousand Trulli. These traditional dry stone huts with a corbeled roof are nowadays used as souvenir shops, craft shops, bars and restaurants.
Then, you'll go to the Rione Aia area, a zone that's still untouched by commercial activities and currently used for residential purposes. Here you'll understand how the old medieval village looked like. The Belvedere will be your next stop: you'll take in the view from this panoramic terrace, and you'll have the opportunity to take some great shots. Afterward, you'll go to the House of Love, known as Casa d'Amore. This is a national monument since 1930, and it's an example of the architectural transition from the first Trullo to the nineteenth-century houses. The Trullo church of Sant'Antonio, which is situated in the city's highest point, will be the final stop on your journey. You'll observe how strikingly similar to a conventional house it appears to be from the outside.

You'll enjoy some free time for lunch at your leisure. After that, the driver will take you back to Bari.

By choosing this tour, you'll have the opportunity to visit also Bari Vecchia (the Old Bari city). In fact, you may choose another day to do it, based on availability.

You'll stroll through the narrow streets of Bari Vecchia, past superstitious and religious legends and past ladies masterfully kneading the dough to make the famed orecchiette. You'll see three main attractions: the Swabian Castle of Bari, the Cathedral of San Sabino and the Basilica of San Nicola. Furthermore, you'll have a walk on the Muraglia, to discover some of the most instagrammable places in Bari.

In Piazza del Ferrarese, the guided tour will come to a close with an explanation of Borgo Murattiano and some free time for shopping.
