This adults-only turtle watching tour is the perfect evening activity for your Cape Verde holiday. You'll be picked up from your hotel and taken to a glamping site, where you'll learn about the turtles and conservation efforts from your guide. Then, head out to the beach in a small group to spot loggerhead turtles – a rare and unforgettable experience.

We was waiting for 2 hours for the pick up. Stated 7:40pm pickup and we was there from 7:30pm, no show from the pickup. Awful, no email, no one to contact regarding it. Wasted a whole evening of our holiday, rushed dinner down to ensure we got there on time.

Did not get picked up from the hotel as wrong hotel on the ticket, nobody offered to rearrange shame as we have spent a lot of money on the holiday and have continued to be loyal customers and have booked our 2026 holiday in Jamaica with TUI.

The experience was incredible. Our expert Jay was extremely hospitable, he shared so much information about the turtles and was super welcoming. You could tell that the company genuinely cared for the welfare of the turtles and we were lucky enough to witness every step of the laying process.

Guide Anna - very friendly, lots of energy, knew about the tour structure and safety. When it came to some additional basic facts & questions about the sea turtles,, not in the initial briefing (how long do the eggs grow inside the female turtles before they give birth), she wasnt sure.. Of course - no single person knows everything- but the Tui rep sold the tour as having a marine biologist, which I expected to be more knowledgeable about the species we were there to see.

We booked this without knowing it was the first night of the season. Whilst in calendar terms the “season” had begun, the turtles have not yet started coming and so far only one had been seen a week before our trip. The guides and rep all knew we were highly unlikely to see anything and I feel the trip was miss sold and should have been cancelled. Also badly described and no mention of lengthy off road journeys in minibuses, very uncomfortable. Overall a very poor experience

Amazing experience, very interesting informative guide. We weren't disappointed, we saw 2 turtles, 1 covering the nest and camoflaging and 1 actually laying her eggs, covering and camouflaging with sand then going back into the sea,absolutely incredible and memories forever.

Transport was fine. The guide was very knowledgeable. We sat in a glamping tent first and were offered a drink and a snack before explaining about the life cycle of turtles. The guide then took us to a nesting turtle within minutes from where our van was parked. The red light behind the turtle enabled us to watch silently without the turtle knowing we were there. We saw her laying her eggs, covering in the nest and then going back to sea. Such an amazing experience.

Fantastic seeing the Turtles. We appreciate the care taken and the priority of the Turtles wellbeing. There were some occasions walking across the beach when it was impossible to see your footing and keep up with the group. An additional red touch per group would have helped.

The whole experience was amazing. The staff were informative and explained what was happening at all times. The evening was magical. The only thing that I would change is the snacks. They only offered peanuts and I am allergic to them. I was full from diner so it was not a problem but maybe an alternative could be offered.

Welcomed by great crew and we're immediately taken to see baby turtles hatching, informative talk from Jaisant while Alex went looking for a mum that we could watch. Baby turtles appeared out of the whilst we were waiting. A mum was found and respectfully observed by us all. Husband was not well & Jay / Alex very kind & supportive. Not easy to get up & down off floor of tent when you're older. Gift not necessary nor snacks. With every penny!

The "snack" was a packet of peanuts and half a cup of warm orange juice. We were told not to take photos and videos because they would send us a video and captured content the next day... Two days later we asked our TUI rep where the photos were... they didn'thelp . When it arrived it was a generic YouTube video

A really enjoyable and moving evening watching the female make her nest, lay her eggs, cover them over, then return to the ocean, also had the opportunity to see 3 other turtles come ashore. A very interesting and enjoyable evening led by very knowledgeable guides, just one downside did not receive photograph as stated by guide and watch out as video you get sent ended up in junk mail.

It was very well planned. Picked up on time, welcoming and polite. Arrived at a little lit up tent and had a chat about turtles and learnt a lot! Made our way to the beach to see a female turtle half way laying her eggs. It was an amazing experience. We would love to go again to see them hatch

Such a rare honour to be able to see this in real life, just feet away. Care was taken to make sure that the conditions were right for the turtle and people were well controlled. I even got to hold a baby turtle hatchling before it was released into the ocean. Make sure you read the further information carefully!!! Pack dark clothing and footwear, no perfume or mozzie spray or alcohol on the evening before the trip. The journey is along a rough track so is very bumpy. Well worth it though!!

Very informative staff who had great respect for the turtles, very lucky to see a turtle come ashore almost immediately. Magical experience. But another group joined us and there were far to many people crowded around 1 turtle also on the info when booking it needs to be made clearer that you may have to wait several hours and may not be lucky enough to see a turtle lay her eggs
