What to expect
Embark on an exciting journey from Piano Provenzana, nestled at a lofty 1,800 metres on the northern flank of Mount Etna. Traverse the rugged terrain in special 4x4 off-road vehicles, expertly guided by professional Alpine guides authorised by the Etna Park Authority. Your first stop is the “Umberto and Margherita” craters, perched at approximately 2,380 metres. Here, you can take a brief trek along the rim of these two enormous extinct craters.Next, venture towards the volcanological observatory, situated at an altitude of 2,818 metres.
