What to expect

Discover the Angkor temple complex and the Rolous group with a 3-day private guided tour with pick-up and drop-off from your hotel.

On the first day, have a morning visit to Banteay Srei Temple, located twenty-five kilometers north of Angkor Wat and known as the pink temple of women, because of its pink sandstone. Then, visit the Banteay Samre temple. Have a moment to lunch on your own account. In the afternoon reach the temples of Ta Phrom, Ta Som, Neak Poan, and Preah Khan. Preah Khan is a huge monastic compith full of carvings, passages and photo opportunities. Admire the sunset at Phre Rub Temple, an architecturally and artistically superior temple-mountain with an interesting view of the surrounding countryside. At the end of the day, come back to your hotel.

For your second day, start with an early morning tour at 4.30 am to experience the enchanting sunrise at Angkor Wat, and continue the tour at the 12thCentury, Angkor Wat. Take a moment to have breakfast on your own account. In the afternoon tour visit Angkor Thom, built by Cambodia's great king Jayavarman VII. Stop at the south gate of Angkor Thom to take some photos of the twenty-meter-high gate. Angkor Thom is the last capital of the Khmer Empire. Next, visit the temple of Baphoun, the Terrace of Elephants, and the Terrace of Leper King. Enjoy the sunset at Bakheng Mountain before coming back to your hotel.

On the last day, enjoy a morning visit to Rolous Group. It was the site of the capital of Indravarman I from 877 to 889 AD. Here, discover why the three temples of the Rolous Group, Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lo Lei, differ from other early temples. Lunch on your own account and start the afternoon visit to the Floating Village (Kompong Pluk), a scenic and enjoyable boat trip in a traditional wooden boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake to see the fisherman’s daily routine. Head to visit Old Market, the most visited, offering the deepest selection of souvenirs, and curious about any of the traditional markets. Continue to Artisan d’Angkor, where unschooled rural youth are educated in handicraft production.
