What to expect
Learn more about the Vietnam War and Vietnam's imperial past on a 2-day trip to Hue and the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone). Don't miss the opportunity to discover the Citadel and other highlights in Hue followed by the Vinh Moc tunnel complex and other battles sites in the Quang Tri Province.
As soon as you arrive in Hue, you'll start exploring the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City and the Emperor's Private Residence within the Citadel. After lunch and check-in at your hotel in Hue, visit Thien Mu Pagoda, Khai Dinh Royal Tomb and go shopping at Dong Ba Riverside Market.
The next day, reach the border with Laos and see many battle sites in the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone): Quang Tri Citadel, Hien Luong Bridge and the Seventeenth Parallel. Continue to the Con Tien Firebase area and the Vinh Moc Tunnels, where people took shelter from intense bombings during the war.
