Fuerteventura Cheese Making & Goat Farm Experience with Transfer

You'll get a real taste of Fuerteventura on this hands-on tour. Spend the morning on a working goat farm and learn everything there is to know about local goats and the cheese production process. As well as tending to the animals there'll be a chance to make your own cheese, too. Sonia, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Majorero cheese has earned the nickname ‘jewel of Fuerteventura.' Made from the milk of native majorera goats, it was the first Canary Island cheese to obtain the designation of origin label, thanks to its special qualities and importance for local heritage.'Your morning on the farm will bring you up close to the goats. Guided by the professionals, you'll have the chance to milk and feed the Majorero goats and enjoy a freshly squeezed glass of goat's milk mixed with gofio, a tasty local cereal. Next, you'll learn how the Majorero cheese is made, and then you'll have a chance to try your hand at making your own fresh goat's cheese, which you can personalize and vacuum pack to take home.No visit to the goat farm is complete without sampling the award-winning goat's cheeses, presented on a cheese-board with local jams and mojo sauce. This unique experience offers an immersion into local traditions and heritage, and you'll leave with a new skill and an appreciation for the tradition and quality of Fuerteventura's artisan products.
