Know in advance:
Ticket valid for the date printed. The ticket does not include access to temporary exhibitions that require a time pass or special rate. Please make sure to download and present the PDF ticket attached to the voucher after booking
Free admission (only at the box office with official accreditation document): children under the age of 18, people over the age of 65, students aged 25 and under (international students are recommended to show their ISIC card), holders of youth cards or equivalent documents, people with disabilities
You can visit the museum Monday to Saturday from 10.00am to 7.00pm (closed Tuesdays) and on Sundays from 10.00am to 12.30pm
Important: on Sundays, the sale of tickets at the ticket office will finish at 2.00pm, apart from advanced bookings. Entrance to the museum will be free starting at 1.30pm
Admission is free on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7.00pm to 9.00pm, Sundays from 12.30pm to 2.30pm, and on 18 April, 18 May, 12 October and 6 December
Closing days: 1 and 6 January, 1 and 15 May, 10 November, 24, 25 and 31 December. On 24 and 31 December, only Parque del Retiro venues will remain open until 5.00pm
Free admission days: April 18, May 18, May 23, September 27 and 28, October 12, December 6
The Sabatini building has ramp access. The Nouvel building has automatic lockers for wheelchair users
Use the cloakroom at the entrance to the Nouvel building for large possessions (please note: the Nouvel has no ramp access)
Photos without flash, tripod, monopod or any other stabilizing element are allowed, except where otherwise indicated
Baby carriages/pushchairs/strollers can be borrowed at the locker service counters or you may bring your own
Attendance at the Museum is limited by capacity control
Cloakroom service is available at both entrances

Cheguei ao Museu com o ingresso comprado através do site TUI e me informaram que o ingresso já havia sido utilizado desde o dia 04/06/2025 para a minha surpresa. Por isso, tive que comprar outro ingresso na **********, gastando mais 12,00 euros. Fiquei MUITO indignada e não consegui contato com a empresa. Gostaria muito do reembolso dos 12,00 euros gastos pelo ingresso.

It would have been nice to know that old people get in free - you hinted, but didn't say. I don't mind giving them the money though.

Siamo arrivati davanti all'ingresso del Reyna Sofia sotto un sole cocente. Abbiamo mostrato i biglietti "salta la fila" e siamo entrati subito dentro senza fare un briciolo di coda. La coda per la biglietteria era al sole...una vera fortuna aver acquistato i ticket a casa! Il museo è fantastico!

Noi abbiamo scelto il biglietto senza visita guidata. Sarebbe stata sicuramente più inclusiva quella guidata peccato che tra le scelte di lingua non c'era l'italiano (credo). Con la visita non ti saresti perso nel museo e avresti capito cosa stessi guardando.
Il museo merita molto, molto bello.

Il motivo che mi ha spinto a venire al museo è stato quello di vedere Guernica. Lo desideravo da anni.

The process of booking the skip the line tickets online was excellent. However, my understanding of skip the line was different than what actually happened.
