Los domingos por la mañana en Malta, el ocio es lo más importante, y esta excursión de compras y turismo aprovecha al máximo el paisaje y la cultura local de Malta. Irás al templo de Qim, contemplarás la famosa Gruta Azul y visitarás el pueblo pesquero de Marsaxlokk para pasear por su mercado semanal. Micheal, uno de nuestros expertos guías locales, afirma: "Si le gusta comer pescado y marisco, Marsaxlokk no le decepcionará. Está repleto de buenos restaurantes y el día de mercado trae a la ciudad los productos más frescos, muchos de ellos recogidos o pescados el mismo día".Comenzaremos con una visita al histórico templo de Hagar Qim. Este lugar, declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO, tiene más de 5.000 años de antigüedad y nos da una idea de cómo vivían los primeros habitantes de Malta en la isla. A continuación, visitaremos uno de los parajes naturales más famosos de Malta: la Gruta Azul de Wied Iz-Zurrieq. Se trata de una cueva natural de 50 metros de profundidad con un enorme arco que se extiende hasta el mar. Las grutas deben su nombre al reflejo de la luz en el agua, que crea un deslumbrante color azul. Existe la posibilidad de realizar una excursión opcional en barco a la gruta.Llegará a Marsaxlokk, uno de los lugares más pintorescos del país, justo cuando las tripas empiezan a rugir. Este pintoresco pueblo pesquero alberga un gran mercado junto al muelle; no se olvide de echar un vistazo a las coloridas barcas de luzzu que flotan en el puerto. Además de pescado recién capturado, también encontrará frutas y verduras locales, vinos malteses, embutidos, quesos y artículos de cuero. Disfrute de su tiempo libre y coma lo que más le apetezca.

A really good trip out. The blue grotto is beautiful and the extra boat trip is an absolute must. We hadn’t realised we would be stopping at Hagar Qim so that was a nice bonus. A really interesting site. We had plenty of time to explore the market, pick up some souvenirs and find somewhere to grab some lunch. The guide was excellent and clearly very passionate about her Maltese heritage. Highly recommend.

The time we arrived at the fish Market it was closing up which was the main reason we booked to go. The tour guide was good and knowledgeable. The visit to the monolithic site was ok but the film show did not inpart any information and the time was limited. The boat trip as an addition was also time limited

Several of us were told this was a half day tour, it wasn't it was a full day. The visit to the Minajdra Temple was a surprise, but incredible and one of the highs of the day, along with the boat trip around the caves which was fun. For me the market was disappointing, full of tacky souvenirs. The timing of our arrival at the market was too late, most of the fish stalls were at the end of the day and so nothing much to see, which was the main attraction. The Guide was very good.

Was een leuke uitstap, enkel hadden we meer verwacht van het vissersdorpje. De markt was niet echt een vissersmarkt maar eerder een gewone markt. Misschien verkeerd begrepen door ons. De charme van het dorp was hierdoor verloren. De gids was een top dame, vriendelijk en heeft ons veel info meegegeven over Malta .

We was meant to be going to the market but by time there they was packing up. We went to a temple that wasn’t on the itinerary and wasted so much time leaving market till last meant it was closing

Petra the guide was perfect. I learned a lot about the Malta . The economy the traditions the people. The fauna and flora. Was absolutely surprised no rivers in Malta The blue grotto was amazing. Plus the temple . The fishing village was not what I expected as it was not that picturesque as some villages. However I had a fantastic lunch. I would definitely do another tour with the Petra the guide. It was an incredible history lesson

Our guide Petra was very friendly and knowledgeable. She made the tour interesting and I think gave us a good background to the history of Malta and particularly the sites we visited. I highly recommend the tour and our guide.

It was just an average trip, I had lunch with a local resident friend, so didn’t have time to see the market at all, & he actually brought me back to the hotel on his boat, so turned out to be a very good day!

Petra, the guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. There was the right amount of time at each location. Our least favourite bit was the caves as there was not a lot to see, maybe the Neolithic site we went past would have had more to offer.

Le marché est présenté comme le marché dominical des pêcheurs, or, si j'ai bien vu des pêcheurs vendant leurs produits, la majorité des aubettes vendent toutes sortes de souvenirs. Peut-être suggérer que le repas puisse être pris ensemble avec tous les membres du groupe pour éviter tout risque de dispersion. L'activité n'avait pas été présentée comme incluant une possibilité de baignade, ce qui était le cas.

Leuke tour, maar verschrikkelijk eten als lunch. Slechte kwaliteit en ongeinteresseerd personeel in het restaurant. Helaas ging de airco in de bus ook nog kapot, maar we kregen wel snel een vervangende bus!
