Un altro sito importante di Kairouan è il mausoleo di Sidi Sahbi, un luogo importante per i musulmani di tutto il mondo, noto per le sue splendide decorazioni in piastrelle e stucco.Si fa poi una sosta per il pranzo prima di visitare l'anfiteatro di El Djem, il terzo più grande costruito dai Romani. Durante il suo periodo di massimo splendore, fino a 35.000 spettatori affollavano le sue ripide tribune per assistere ai combattimenti tra gladiatori. Oggi è ancora possibile ammirare l'imponente struttura che ha superato la prova del tempo e conoscere il suo significato storico.

Tour guide was fabulous, experienced and very knowledgeable and a good safe driver Tour bus not in good condition. we had torrential rain and bus windows and roof were leaking, very old bus and not plesant. Lunch - this destination needs to be changed it was very poor value for money and not at all edible. suggest guide and driver probably enjoy a better meal than us paying customers. Not a problem buying drinks at the venue though they are really hiked for Tunisia

This is a well worthwhile excursion which represents good value in my opinion. The driver Bashir and our tour guide hamidi were excellent, informative and amusing. The Holy city and colliseum were great attractions with the colliseum being an unmissable location to visit whilst in Tunisia. The lunch provided was definitely adequate but could of been hotter and drinks were chargeable as an extra. We visited during a quiet time in December in cool weather which was ideal. Overall a very good trip.

Enjoyed all the places we visited. Lunch was good. Too early a start. Distances travelled were longer than stated. Maybe tried to fit in too much in one day as more time in the museum would have been good.

I was surprised that this trip was labeled as needing to be able to walk well when the pervious trip we did was more walking than this one. The guild knew what he was talking about but did not make it as fun as Fares and was always hurrying us along It was very interesting

A very good informative day. The historical sites were well worth visiting. Be prepared at lunch to not even be offered a glass of water with your meal you have to pay for drinks even water although the trip was lunch included

I hadn't realised there was going to be so much time on the coach travelling between the various sites. However they were all great, especially the Coliseum and mosaics. Our guide was excellent too.

The guide was very knowledgeable and the trip was very informative however the meal wasn't upto much mainly salad there was no drink included we had to pay for water in that respect it spoilt the overall experience even people that went on other trips had to buy water you should stipulate no drinks included

The day has been really interesting,Aida (sorry if not spelt name correctly) has been an excellent,informative guide throughout. She dealt with an issue well,sadly a tourist didn’t wait for the coach and got a taxi back to his hotel, not informing Aida.We waited 1 1/2 hrs whilst numerous people searched for him, the Police checked CCTV also. In the end a call to his hotel confirmed he was in fact safe there.Putting ‘a lot’ of people under stress unnecessarily,selfishly,spoiling rest of day!!

The basins were pretty pointless, but the mosques and theatre very good, just way too much time on the coach. Would be better as a half day as it's 11 hours of which a good portion is spent on a coach. Lady guide was excellent though and very knowledgeable.

The visit to El Djem was amazing and plenty of time to explore. Little disappointed that we didn’t have more time to explore Kairouan itself as we wanted to walk around by ourselves. The guide was very good but gave his talk in German then French then English some had to wait while he got to the English version while the other guests could explore.

A very good history of religion in the Muslim world. The mosque's we visited were beautiful. The lunch was very good it was a buffet lunch. El Jem amphitheater in the afternoon was the highlight of the day. Overall a great experience.

Visit to reservoir was underwhelming but recommend use of toilet as it wasn’t obvious if there were toilets at the mausoleum and mosque. It wasn’t made clear that if you didn’t cover your knees and shoulders a tunic would be provided at these venues. Timing of visits to all venues especially buffet lunch and gift shop coincided with other coaches resulting in chaos and queues. Some areas were difficult to access for those with mobility issues.

Excursion was interesting and interactive. The lunch provided, however was disappointing. The guide spoke in German, French and English but the English translation wasn't as detailed as the other languages. My daughter became ill on the trip but the guide and especially the coach driver were very helpful and supportive. Overall the trip was generally good value for money.

Guide was very good providing loads of information about the sites we visited. Probably a little too much information on the entire history of Tunisia although some was relevant and interesting. It was a long day but well worth it for the experience of visiting such an historic site and an important religious site.

Loved the whole day apart from what time it finished. I understand that when they have a full bus the. They have to leave earlier to get everyone back. But when the bus isn’t even 1/2 full we could have spent more time at the Colosseum which is the most interesting part of the day.

The experience began at 7.25 am and finishes at 6.00 pm - it was a long day but enjoyable. Some of the morning experiences could have been shorter in order to allow more time at the colosseum as that was the best but rushed. Driver and guide were great!

I loved the whole day. Perhaps just a few more minutes at El Jem, we were there for 45 mins but would have appreciated a full hour but managed to see everything so maybe I’m being abit picky. Other reviews said the day felt rushed or too much travelling but I don’t agree, but could do with an additional 10 min stop for refreshments around 10-11am to keep energy levels up. Or take refreshments with you. Guide was amazing with lots of information but some of it went abit fast for me.

An excellent trip to Kairouan and El Jem. Brilliant guide who had a lot of knowledge and interest in what he was telling us. Be warned that this is a full day - we left hotel at 7:30 and didnt get back until 5:30pm. The mosaic museum at El Jem was a real highlight. We would have spent longer at there, but it is hard to think which stop we would have shortened to compensate! At Kairouan you can get something to cover knees/shoulders/head if necessary for 0.5dinar. A real cultural tour.

The trip was great, tour guide so informative and helpful. Sites were beautiful. Couple points to add- there’s a lot of walking and in midday sun so be prepared for the heat (it was unseasonably hot still for us!) and wouldn’t recommend for those with any mobility issue, also you need a head covering for the mosque as well as the usual shoulders/knees covered (there are some available to borrow if needed)

This was a great opportunity to see a little of the history of Tunisia and also an insight into the country outside our all Inclusive hotel. It was a tiring full day - but worth it. Our guide was very helpful and provided some interesting information about the country. My highlight was the beautiful Roman mosaics museum. The lunch stop was really good too. I would definitely recommend this trip. Young kids may find it dull though.

We really enjoyed this trip. Four stops, we'll timed, we never spent too much time on the coach. The driver and the guide Mohammed were very good and made sure we were safe and comfortable. The sites we visited were great. The lunch was good but we had to pay for drinks separately. There was one brief visit to shops, I'd have rather spent more time in the museum or in the colosseum. Everything else was well timed.

The tour guide, Mohammed, was very welcoming. He went above and beyond to make me and my partner feel included and answered every question we had. The tour was jam packed full of places to visit and most of those had very few people there; it felt almost exclusive. The bus journey went through the more picturesque part of the country so there were plenty of sights to see. Most of the places were very safe, with guards at the entrances. I would definitely recommend this tour

4 stops in one day, good mix of tour time and free time. I would have really liked to have had some time to see the area around The Grand Mosque. Instruction provided by Tui said 'cover up shoulders and down to the knees' even though we did this we were still made to wear provided coveralls. 43'C at the Amphitheatre so ensure lots of water, cover up and wear a hat. An impressive structure!!! We booked the English-language tour but Tui also put a German-speaking couple on the bus (sitting behind us) with a German-speaking tour guide - we had to listen to the English guide and then the German one at length throughout the trip - this was irritating.

Fantastic guide. Full of knowledge. He made it very interesting. Tourists need to be informed that they need to be dressed with respect in mind as several places are holly sites. Also to bring water.

The sights to see were very interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable. The bus and journey was good although of the 8 hour trip only 3 hours was at the sights and 1 hour for lunch so 4 hours of travelling. We did not have enough time to fully see the Roman Villa Museum and the guide was rushing us through the galleries. We did not have any time to explore the 2 towns and see the alleys and local culture as expected from the description. Lunch was disappointing being a basic meal and fairly tasteless.
