Investigate Brunelleschi's innovative approach in vaulting the dome space without any scaffolding, and deeply understand how he changed the rules of architecture forever.If you feel like continuing your climb, you can reach the top of Brunelleschi's Cupola (the Dome). Reach the 91-meter-high (300 ft) panoramic viewpoint in order to get the highest view from the building. This tour also includes autonomous access to the monuments of the Cathedral complex during the 72 hours following the tour.

Het was een geweldige ervaring om de Duomo te beklimmen. In een rustig tempo met steeds pauze en uitleg over het volgende wat er te zien was. Briljante gids! Wat geleverd zou worden werd niet volledig geleverd. Wat een teleurstelling op het moment was toen het uit kwam. Op de website van Tui staat, naast de begeleiding door een gids de Duomo beklimmen: de crypte bekijken en kaartjes voor 72 uur toegang tot het babtisterium, de klokkentoren en het museum. Dit werd niet geleverd. De gids vond het heel naar om te vertellen dat in coronatijd de tour was vereenvoudigd naar alleen de Duomo beklimmen. (Voor hetzelfde geld) Doorverkopers hebben hun website niet aangepast en zodoende de teleurstelling. Zeker omdat het ons een halve dag extra regelen en stress heeft gekost om iets nieuws te organiseren voor de opvolgende 2 dagen. (Stress: lange wachtrijen in 33 graden voor musea. Online moeten boeken ivm corona systeem war hier nog actief is) Dus: geweldige tour, prachtig uitzicht. Dik en dwars waard zijn 95 euro. Maar niet lollig dat de volledig beloofde dienst niet geleverd werd.

Our tour guide was great, we were however disappointed because we signed up for the Doumo dome tour and there was a mixup and the tickets the tour company got did not give us access. Our guide, Sara dealt with the confusion with total professionalism and apologized profusely.
