Possibly one of the most romantic spots on the Mediterranean coast, it's said that Antony and Cleopatra held love trysts under the temple's shining white columns. Apart from ancient ruins, the picturesque narrow lanes of this once-quiet fishing village are a hive of activity and ideal for a spot of souvenir hunting. You'll have free time to explore on your own – check out the museum in a restored bathhouse, if you want to find out more about Side's fascinating past.
