We were picked from our Riad on time and taken to the cookery school by taxi. We were met by Fatima and taken to the Riad where the class would take place. It was a lovely atmosphere and all the guests were happy and chatting. There were different nationalities but the hosts spoke to everyone in their native language. The food was amazing and we had each step explained and were actively encouraged to take part in the veg and meat preparation. It caters for vegetarians as well. I would recommend

My 29 year old Son and I were picked up at the Hotel and were taken to a family home. Chef Leila and her family made us all feel very welcome and at ease. She took us to the market to buy the ingredients which was an amazing experience. She was very informative about the souk, the ingredients, etc. We took the ingredients back and were advised on how to prepare and cook our meal. Then we all sat and ate the food. Was more than well worth the cost! Would highly recommend this experience.

We had the best time at this cookery class. It is run so well. There were no language barriers at all, their English was perfect. From start to finish it is friendly and informal. It is run in their house and they make you feel very welcome. It is very hands on prepping the food yourself and being involved in all the cookery. At the end you sit down as a group to enjoy the meal you prepared. We will book this again on our next visit and would love the recipes of the food we cooked

Me and my daughter attended the cooking lesson. Chef Laila welcomed us and we went to the market to buy ingredients. This was a lovely experience and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Back to Chef Laila's residency we started the cooking lesson. All instructions were very clear. Chef Laila is very talented and enjoys what she does. After cooking we all enjoyed the food as one family .To anyone planning on visiting Marrakech , l truely recommend this experience as one of your bucket list ??

Samen met mijn dochter deze cooking class gedaan. Fatima was heel vriendelijk en gaf goede uitleg. We waren met een klein groepje (4). We konden helaas niet naar de markt, omdat deze er niet meer was na de aardbeving. Samen gekookt binnen in de Riad en na afloop samen gegeten op het dakterras.

Absolut top. Laila ist die charmanteste Person die ich mir vorstellen kann. Hat zusammen mit ihrer Tochter und Mitarbeitenden ein unvergessliches Kocherlebnis ermöglicht. Dass die Anfahrt zum Treffpunkt überflüssig war (sinnlos da selber Start- wie Treffpunkt) - geschenkt.

We enjoyed our cooking class, we met new people and learnt some recipes in a genuine old house (not fancy but lovely and local).The trip to the market was a good opportunity to pick up saffron however there was a lot of blood and dirt on the floor of the market and they had live chickens that they butcher but we didn’t see any get killed when we were there. Food hygiene was ok but everything got cooked well so no issues. Good fun overall and Lena was lovely.

The transport had us worried as they swapped drivers in middle of the journey but the actual cooking experience was great one of the best experiences just the geting in and out of Marrakech

Enjoyed this class. Warm welcome from Chefs Laila and Asma, a trip to local market for veg, then back to their house for tea and cooking. We did three vegetable salads and a chicken tagine - all delicious! Picked up lots of tips and keen to try the recipes. Usually there are 16-20 people on this class but only 2 when I went (earthquake effect...) The other lady spoke Arabic/French but little English, she and Chef Asma chatted a lot but I felt a bit left out. Enjoyed it all the same, Recommended

Had a great time learning the different recipes and preparing the traditional Morrocan dishes, especially the zucchini salad and the aubergine salad, which were delicious. The Host / Teacher Asma, was instructive, friendly and made us feel very welcome in the family home. Asma explained how basic home spices are used for natural medical remedies and this was particularly interesting. A very worthwhile experience.

The actual class and the tutor were 100% great and I would whole heartedly recommend this experience. The downside was that I was the only person being picked up from my hotel. The driver spoke very little English and his vehicle had a model of a machine gun hanging in the window. As there were no other passengers I felt a bit scared and vulnerable and I am not usually given to being anxious.

Deze kookworkshop is super leuk om te doen. Hele aardige begeleiding en je bent goed aan het werk. De chef legt van alles uit en het eten was heerlijk. Samen met mijn dochter van 16 jaar gedaan. Eerst samen groenten kopen op de markt en daarna naar de keuken waar alles klaarstond. al met al zeker 4 uren onderweg met deze activiteit.

A truly incredible and authentic Moroccan experience! We were kindly welcomed into Leila’s home where we learnt how to cook 3 delish Moroccan salads and 2 tagines! Lots of laughter and happy memories made - Leila loved to take photos with everyone which we will treasure forever! After preparing all of the food the group got to sit around and feast. If you do no other experience in Marrakech do this one!

Tolle Erfahrung, großartiger Vormittag mit Azma! Einkaufen auf dem Markt, dann in ihr marokkanisches Privathaus in der Medina, wo wir in der großen Küche ein 3-Gang-Mittagessen zubereitet haben. Hat super viel Spaß gemacht. Azma hat alles top vorbereitet und uns stets mit einem Lächeln kompetent durch die Zubereitung geführt. Waren nur zu zweit, nebenbei haben wir uns über das Leben in Marokko unterhalten - sehr lehrreich und ein wunderbarer Einblick, der einem sonst nicht möglich ist. Danke!

Great experience and knowledge from Chef Laila. Food we cooked was delicious. I do feel that Tui over inflated the cost though as we spoke with a family of 4 who had self booked and they paid less than half the amount that we paid for 2 people.

Outstanding in every way. You get picked up from your hotel and dropped just outside a maze of narrow streets, through which your host guides you to a market stall for buying veg. Then an amble down narrow streets until you go through a small door into a large covered kitchen courtyard, where you get your cooking lessons - then you all sit down (about 16 people) and eat your creation. I think this is a bucket list experience you didn't know you needed...

I would definitely recommend this excursion. Very informative and really good fun! Mama Layla ( I think that was her name) was a superb host and very knowledgeable. It helped that we had a great group with us. Really great time had by all!

An excellent introduction to Morrocan cookery. Chef Leila was so welcoming. Cooking in her home gave us a real insight into Morrocan food and culture. Everything was prepared ready for us to begin, after a cup of mint tea. Chef Leila led us through each stage with a full explanation. She talked with great knowledge. We made a variety of delicious salad and the best chicken tagine I have had in Morroco. We sat down to a wonderful meal. A fantastic course which I would recommend for all.

Fantastic experience. Shopping at the market and finding out the best place to get fresh produce was a nice touch. Cooking together as a 'tourist' family added some camaraderie too. Our chef and her family were friendly and welcoming also.

This was one of the most authentic trips I have ever done To be in the family home of a real morrocan family and prepare and cook your own lunch under the guidance of the morrocan guided was an extremely pleasant experience from beginning to end

This was a wonderful opportunity to spend time in a Moroccan kitchen learning how to make a tagine dish and accompanying salads. From collecting the ingredients from the medina, to preparing the meal and finally indulging in the finished goods at the end. Superb hosts and teacher. So pleased I decided to do this.
