Guided Visit to Corpus Christi Festival in La Orotava

Known as one of the most spectacular events in Tenerife, this festival is a true feast for the senses. For this occasion, every year the intricate sand paintings are carefully ‘drawn' by the artists who spread the sand using their hands. The centrepiece is a huge sand carpet with a religious theme, laid out in painstaking detail according to ancient tradition, using a variety of coloured lava sand from the craters of the Cañadas.
