What to expect
This hiking tour is unique, because the participants will discover the area of Armenia that has most biodiversity, forestry, mineral spring waters and a magnificent landscape to admire. Because of the beauty in the area, DIlijan town is regarded as a "small Switzerland" by locals.Your driver and guide will be waiting for you at your location in Yerevan. You'll start the tour at 9:00 am. On the way you'll have a photo stop by lake Sevan, the pearl of Armenia and the biggest mountain lake of the Caucasus, located at an altitude of 1,900 m above sea level.When you arrive at lake Parz, which is located in Dilijan National Park, you’ll enjoy the view and surroundings. It is also a nice recreational place with a zip line above the lake. Afterwards youe will begin your hiking to Goshavank monastery in Gosh village (medium difficulty hike, between 4-5 hours). The trail will go through the nice forests of Dilijan National Park, one of the 4 protected national parks in Armenia. It is known for its forest landscapes, rich biodiversity, medicinal mineral water springs, natural and cultural monuments, and a number of hiking trails.
