What to expect
Your day starts not too early so that you can enjoy the sunset on the way back to the mainland in the afternoon. Departure from Brisbane at 8:30 am. After a short 45-minute drive to the ferry port, you can have breakfast (own expense) either at the port or on the ferry during the crossing. It's your choice.
After arriving at this paradise island, the first stop will be at Brown Lake, and on the way there your tour guide will talk about the island and the historic and cultural importance of the Quandamooka People. From there, after a quick stop at Myora Springs, you go straight to the Northwest side of the island, a perfect lookout spot to take pictures and go for a walk or swim at Cylinder Beach. And then, the big attraction of the day: The Gorge Walk. On this 40-45-minute walk you will enjoy the amazing views of the Coral Sea the South Pacific Ocean, and its incredibly rich marine life. There will be great chances to spot whales during the migration season, manta rays, turtles, dolphins, and much more.
Back from the walk, it's time for lunch at Point Lookout. You can bring your own lunch or buy a takeaway and enjoy a picnic with amazing views. The tour will then be headed to Amity Point, and you can join your tour guide for a walk (secret place) to search for koalas in the wild. This tour focuses on creating remarkable memories, come and join in and see what all the fuss is about.
