What to expect
Join this exciting adventure and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery combined with breathtaking views as you paddle eight miles through several rapids. This two-hour trip is a perfect opportunity to introduce you to the world of rafting introduction to magnificent whitewater rafting.
You'll begin your adventure by getting ready with the right outfit by attending an introductory safety session, then you'll head out on the river. After about ten minutes of floating, during which you can enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, the grade 2 rapids begin, where it will be highly pro ably to get wet or take an unexpected swim. If you're brave enough, there are designated spots to bathe in the glacial waters.
After 4 or 5 sections of rapids, the Miette River joins the Athabasca, where you can admire the difference in color between a river fed by rain and snow and a river fed by glaciers. The trip ends just around the corner at Old Fort Point, from where you'll then depart back to the city.
