This terrible place was established during the French colonization of Vietnam in the 1940s and expanded in the 1960s by U.S-backed Southern Vietnamese troops in order to imprison Vietnamese soldiers. There are plenty of exhibits presented in the prison for visitors to learn more about the prison, many of which depict the brutal conditions and torture that were commonplace. Sao beach, the place not to miss, will be your next point. With its soft white sand and turquoise sea, this beach is perfect for relaxing.
Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before a visit to the Fish Sauce Factory. Phu Quoc nuoc mam (fish sauce) is very famous in Vietnam and people here still make it the traditional way in what resembles a brewery. For the penultimate part of the tour, you'll the biggest Buddhist temple on Phu Quoc, Ho Quoc Pagoda, beautifully located by mountain and sea before dropping you back to your hotel.
