insgesamt zufrieden. Guide war ok, sind mit ihm aber nicht ganz so warm geworden und englisch war manchmal etwas schwer zu verstehen. Ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen, hatte aber wenig eigene Ideen. Negativ: führte uns gezielt zu einem Gewürzhändler, wo ein gewisser Verkaufsdruck aufgebaut wurde.

Man sollte nicht mit besonders hohen Erwartungen in den Ausflug starten. Storm Town ist klein und nicht so malerisch, wie man es sich vorstellten mag. Die Tour umfasst die Besichtigung des Denkmals an den Sklavenhandel (nebst Kirche), ein Gang über den örtlichen Markt, einen Rundgang durch die engen Gassen, ein Besuch der ehemaligen Festung und des Hafens sowie den Besuch im Tansanitenmuseum. Wir waren gut 2,5 Stunden mit dem Guide unterwegs. Wenn man auf Kultur steht, sicherlich nett.

Excellent guide with Ali who gave us great insights into Zanzibar and Stone Town. The slave museum was particularly poignant. Overall would recommend this tour - just the right amount of time.

Nothing we didn’t enjoy (apart from the rain which was only for a short time). It was interesting and at times, thought provoking. We enjoyed the windy streets and the guides insights. The slavery portion was a sad but important part.

Rashid, our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. He adapted the tour so that we saw what we were interested in and his English was excellent, educating us about Zanzibar’s history and culture.
