What to expect
Around 100 km southeast of Cusco, rests one of the most beautiful wonders of nature: the 7-Color Mountain. This place, also known as the Rainbow Mountain, has an altitude of 5,200 meters above sea level. Accessibility:

Know in advance:
This activity requires good acclimatization (at least full 48 hours in Cusco downtown altitude). Minimum altitude: Cusipata 10 889 feet (3319 m.a.s.l). Maximum altitude: Vinicunca 16 700 feet (5100 m.a.s.l). Walking distance: 4.3 miles (7 km)
For tax reasons, it is important to send copies of all passengers' passports to the local tour provider
The minimum age to take part in this activity is 12 years old
Remember to bring:
Mid-weight thermal underwear tops and bottoms, hiking socks (preferably wool), synthetic or wool hiking pants, polar jacket
Travel accessories: sunglasses and retainer strap, sunblock and lip balm, toiletry kit, small washcloth, personal first-aid kit, hand sanitizer gel
Local currency (Peruvian Sol), for drinks, snacks, tips, souvenirs, and for horseback riding service, if you require it
