Following a series of restructuring and upgrading works the exhibition area now covers an area of around 1000 m2, divided into three rooms which are mainly used for exhibiting the plastic arts from the last third of the 19th century through to just after the Second World War. The exhibition rooms opened in the autumn of 2008, coinciding with a new international perspective in our programming following an in-depth review of the modernization of Spanish art between the last third of the 19th century to the Spanish Civil War.From June 5 to August 24, 2025 you will be able to visit three temporary exhibitions:1. José Guerrero, Concerning Landscape. José Guerrero’s photography turns landscapes and architecture into poetic, dynamic spaces, using light, colour, and atmosphere. His work spans over 20 years of exploring iconic locations.2. Felipe Romero Beltrán, Bravo. Winner of the 2021 KBr Photo Award, reflects on tension and conflict along the U.S.-Mexico border. Through images of people, landscapes, and architecture, it explores themes of waiting and border identity.3. Nicholas Nixon, The Brown Sisters (1975-2022): Nicholas Nixon stands out as an important figure in the history of contemporary photography.
