Just on the outskirts of Soller you'll find the only botanical garden and natural history museum in Majorca. Here, nature enthusiasts can learn all about the flora, fauna and fossils of the Balearic Islands. Wander around the gardens and halls, with many endangered plants and unique specimen, preserved thanks to the foundation's efforts.If you're interested in finding out all there is to know about the flora of Majorca, then the Sóller Botanical Garden is ideal. The foundation was set up to grow, conserve, study and preserve rare and endangered plants from the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and further afield. The gardens also host one of largest wild seed banks of Spain.The Natural History Museum of the Balearic Islands, located in a 19th-century building, shows a selection of minerals, rocks, fossils and animals from Majorca and the Balearics. See the diversity of the past and present flora and fauna of the islands, and the challenges they face in today's world.
