What to expect
This experience has adventure stamped all over it. Off-road buggy or safari truck rides, traditional Taino ceremonies and swimming in underground pools make for an adrenaline-pumping evening from Punta Cana. Juan, one of our local guides, says ‘Caves and cenotes played an important role in the indigenous Taino culture. Despite looking so tempting with their cool aquamarine water, the Taino people never swam in the cenotes or used the water because of their belief that they were a gateway to the underworld.' Plus, you'll enjoy a Dominican dinner and an open bar followed by live music.To kick off your all-action evening, you'll power through the Dominican countryside, zoom along dirt tracks and watch as the landscape transforms from day to night. Guided by torchlight, you'll continue your journey to take a swim in a natural cave pool, known as a cenote, with atmospheric lighting. And if you choose the safari truck option, you'll also get to visit the eerie depths of Yara Cave.With flaming torches lighting the way, you'll make your way back to base for a well-earned drink and a tasty dinner of local cuisine. The restaurant staff pride themselves on creating classic Dominican dishes, freshly prepared with seasonal produce from the island. Rounding off the evening is a traditional Taino dance show and the chance to join in with a boogie or enjoy the open bar under the stars.

Amazing excursion. The buggy ride was a good amount of time - (bring spare clothes you get covered in dust/mud). We got to taste Dominican produce which was really interesting. The Dominican dinner was delicious and the centote was so much fun. The staff running it were amazing and full of energy. Definitely felt like we got our moneys worth. Would highly recommend to anyone considering. Don’t bring anything you don’t want to get dirty!!

Amazing experience, hotel pick up was punctual, the tour offered buggy experience that you will drive around country roads, taino shows from village locals, amazing party cave in the water with good music, dinner and a dance show for the end. Amazing vibes. Don't think twice , just do it!

If you are thinking of doing this, DO IT!!! This was so much fun. I also like how it wasn’t a long winded day unlike saona. One thing I found funny is there is no safety briefing or anything beforehand, didn’t ask for driving license etc, so please use your own common sense as you will be driving on a main road for a bit. Things I recommend you do; bring spare clothes, a towel, spare swim or underwear, and don’t bring your nicest bag, it will get ruined (I learnt the hard way). HAVE FUN!!!??

This was a great evening which we thoroughly enjoyed! This trip exceeded expectations, specifically the cave pool/DJ in the evening which was amazing! Service was fantastic and all staff involved were polite, informative and up for a laugh! We choose not to give this a 10 because we would of liked some more time on the buggy’s (although the time we did have was sufficient, this is more of a personal preference) and would of liked more directions on the open bars during the evening carnival.

The whole experience was fab! The only downfall was the organising of the photos at the end - complete mess and the photos weren’t really worth it. Otherwise, highly recommend - it was loads of fun!

This was a great trip, staff were high energy and fun and the cave disco was amazing!! There wasn’t any pressure selling either which you experience on a lot of trips. Would recommend this but it is a very late finish so I would not recommend for children under age 10

Enjoyed the buggy ride tour, enabling us to see places off the resort, like the village, how some people of the island live. I was uncomfortable to see children and their mothers begging as we drove through. The buggies were in need of maintenance, in particular the steering. Those responsible for the tour, constantly drove along side the buggies, guiding us and to ensure we were not in any bother. Those who did break down were assisted quickly. The food was tasty and the coach back was clean.

Great trip - lots of activities to do and didn’t have much waiting around. Buggies were cool and enjoyed seeing parts of island don’t get to see. Cave pool was awesome - so clear and cold and the disco music was fun. Great food and enjoyed the carnival partying at the end. Good to have changing facilities after the swim. Also having goggles and bandana for buggies included was useful and saved buying them. Maybe just advise people to bring set of clothes - which we knew from reviews.

The underground cave, traditional dancing, cocoa, cigar rolling was all very good. The buggy ride was shorter than expected. The buggy did not seem safe (the door kept opening & the brakes didn't work very well)

This excursion was brilliant! We are a family of 4 with a 16 and 18 year old. I picked this excursion as my son wanted to drive the buggies and i thought it would be nice to do something that went into the evening with other activities tagged on. We had an hour driving them though the tracks to the cave. We got to taste local produce & drinks and the cave was brilliant lit up with a DJ, just what we needed to wash the dust off. Then it was good food and entertainment. Highly recommend this one!

Only a few people were offered protective goggles, which are needed due to the amount of dust thrown up by other vehicles. The driving was fun, but the terra cross buggies were old, hard to drive and a number of them broke down. The overall trip was good and the experience swimming in the cave pool was outstanding.

This trip was soooo good, the boogie's were great fun speeding through the dirt tracks (I advise to take spare clothes as its very dusty), we then had a small talk about Dominican culture and had a performance from there team which was also very good. We then visited the avatar Cenote which was setup really nice and had all really good scenery. The next Cenote was even better, we had a full on party in there! DJ was banging out tunes and the party was rocking, dinner after was also very good.

We had a great time 4 adults with 2 double buggies although we did have a buggy which the back doors kept flying open this was quickly sorted by the security and we had our buggy changed. Local Kids are in the village and you do have to be aware but security monitors this. This seems the highlight of the day for the children as they are waving and trying to high five you but it's nothing to worry about. After the buggy ride everything is at one place and we'll organised the cave party was good.

The staff there were amazing. The buggy ride was a little shorter than expected but due to all the things we did after, it made sense. I am not usually one for getting involved in dancing but the staff were all incredibly friendly and approachable. Honestly, one of the best excursions I have ever been on

We loved everything about this experience. The buggy tour was great, we really enjoyed the ride and got to see areas of the DR we wouldn't normally see. All of the staff were fantastic from start to finish. The swimming in the cave was amazing as well as the shows! and the buffet was delicious, I would definitely recommend this to anybody.

Fantastic evening for all the family! You start with a 45min buggy tour (could of been longer!) lots of shows and entertainment the guides really involve you in the experience, the cave party was amazing! With a dj to really get you hyped up! dinner is lovely, and the last show was amazing! This excursion is a MUST!

Too many people on the buggy tour meant you couldn't really do anything. Felt like I was stuck in traffic. No one checked our buggy before we went. Everything afterwards was brilliant, cave was fun, tasting and dancing was great could have done with just that.

Everyone is so accommodating at the resort where the buggy tour took place. They went through safety advice with us, such an amazing experience especially going to see the Taino villagers and experiencing and embracing their culture and tasting experience. Honestly phenomenal! Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed the buggy ride, natural springs water cave and the entertainment. The guide Mathais was very good, professional and attentive. The food was brilliant as well. I didn't enjoy the overpriced shop at the beginning or the 1st water cave, it seemed like a big build up and walk to the bottom just for a picture. I preferred taking pictures in the cave part itself. I don't think I would have missed this if it was left out. However, overall the excursion was one of the best I have been on.

Fantastic evening from start to finish. An hour out in the buggies to start with. Followed by some dancing and some chocolate and mamajuana tasting (best hot chocolate I have tasted). Loved the swim in the cave which followed, make sure you take your swim wear, this is not to be missed a DJ is playing his tunes in there whilst you are in the water, with beach balls flying around its amazing… The food which was served up after the swim was excellent, lots of choice. Excellent evening..!!

Really fun experience, the buggy drive & swimming were great. We didn’t get provided with goggles as it stated in the explanation so make sure to take your own or sunglasses for the drive as it did get very dusty. The guides were great when we’d finished the drive & were in the Taino village however before the drive things were a little rushed. Overall a great experience & would recommend,

The buggy was hard to drive (as someone who does a lot of off road) steering was well off, no fuel, no lights on the front driver. Young kids trying to steal off the buggies. Photos were stupid expensive 65-80 dollar and they weren't great. The domician meal was great! The cave was good and enjoyable bur very party party.

Mathis our guide on Adventure Boogies was fantastic as were all the staff. Communication from Tui via messenger app was a bit confusing as not conversation based as different responders. Would recommend the trip. Take own towels. More information required on Tui excursion app. Wonderful experience.

Absolutely amazing. Dress in swimwear with old clothing over the top and some old cheap sunglasses then take a spare change of half decent clothing and plenty of insect repellent. You spend around an hour on the buggies (you will get dirty) then spent some time in a park that explains the history of the island with some coffee and chocolate. You then have some time in the cave pool. After this you can get changed for dinner and a small disco. Well worth getting out for. After back 11pm ish

Everything. Really fantastic trip enjoyed the whole experience would even do it again was that much fun. only downside was the transfer back as the driver drove like a crazy man really was scary plus he had no idea where a few hotels were so a short journey went on for over an hour

It is such great value for money as we got to experience a lot of things including Buggying, swimming in a cave, a show and even included dinner. The staff were amazing and so was the food. We also got to see a beach which is not flooded with tourists which was a nice touch and local people. They do beg for money. However, it gave a real insight to the Island. I would defo recommend.

Enjoyed it all the sunset at the beach was a surprise it was beautiful, the cave was beautiful as well but there was a lot of stairs. The meal was lovely and the staff could not do enough for us The disco at the end could have gone on a little longer It seemed a bit rushed, overall a great trip.

It was a great experience, the tour guides were great and kept it really fun. We stopped at a local beach where we didn’t feel too safe, but the tour guides and staff were always there. There was also a moment when we had to stop on a local street where we were begged for money, again didn’t feel too safe but again the tour guides were present. Other than that definitely recommend, great value for money. We weren’t advised to bring a change of clothes though which would have been useful!

Absolutely loved the overall experience! Very well Organised and ran seamlessly. All elements thoroughly enjoyed, particilarly buggie ride, traditional dancing and bbq. Stop off at Macao beach didnt really feel necessary although enjoyed all the same.

Excellent Trip with plenty of variety. Buggies we’re great fun all be it the steering and brakes were a little temperamental! Make sure you take your sunglasses as the dust is a pain if not! Swimming in the cave was fantastic the guides were really fun and everyone loved it . Great food as well considering the slop we are being served at our 5 * hotel :-(. Really enjoyable trip

Great guide, kept everyone entertained and involved no matter of age. Better food than I've had on other experiences, didn't like the fact the staff at the buggy reception tried to sell us photos we hadn't even had taken yet for $100 then $80 eventually trying for $40 and it was all the same photo package. Obviously we didn't agree but didn't start the experience of well
