What to expect
Located north of the Altes Museum on Museum Island in Berlin lies the world-famous Neues Museum. It was built between 1843 and 1855 according to plans by Friedrich August Stüler, a student of Karl Friedrich Schinkel. The museum exhibits the same collections as it did before WWII when it was severely damaged during the bombing of Berlin and left as an abandoned bombsite.In 2003, the restoration work was undertaken by the offices of the British architect David Chipperfield. Neues Museum reopened its doors to the public in 2009 and now hosts geographically and thematically related exhibits put together from 3 separate collections: the collection of Egyptian art, prehistoric objects and classical antiquities. Among its most prominent artifacts is the iconic bust of the Egyptian queen Nefertiti.Don't miss The Crown of Kerch: Treasures from the Dawn of European History exhibit, on view from 19 October 2017 to 25 September 2022. Admire gold jewelry from the migration period found near the Black Sea and see silver brooches and magnificent belts from early medieval graves in France, Italy, Spain, and Germany. For the first time in 80 years, selected pieces from the collection of Johannes von Diergardt will also be on view again in Berlin, returning to the city where they were displayed until 1934.

Entramos a las 9:00 los primeros. No había nadie. Pudimos admirar el busto de Nefertiti nosotros solos. Un lujo. Luego vimos el resto del museo, ya con público, pero a esas horas, poco. Muy interesante todo lo q tienen de Egipto. Nos gustó mucho.

Das Personal war wahnsinnig freundlich, half uns mit dem Audioguide und erklärte uns die Rundgänge. Sehr freundlich!
Das beim Einlass kein wlan vorhanden ist und auch generell kein Empfang ist ungünstig für digitale Tickets.
Ansonsten tolles Erlebnis und klare Empfehlung!

El museo es para visitarlo con tiempo para poder contemplar las maravillas que en él se exhiben, es muy recomendable adquirir las entradas en linea, por que es muy rápido, cómodo y además es de gran ayuda si tienes dificultad con los idiomas.

Im Bereich Ägypten war die Erklärung der Exponate sehr schlecht. Sie waren mit Nummern versehen, es fehlte jedoch fast immer die Erklärung was zu sehen ist. Sehr enttäuschend, wenn man wegen dem ägyptischen Teil da war. Auf dem Audioguide waren auch nur wenige Exponate im restlichen. Museum erklärt

tutto bene, però al ritiro dell’audioguida si potrebbe avvisare il visitatore che vale anche per altri musei. Noi abbiamo visitato il Pergamon con l’audioguida, al termine l’abbiamo consegnata e quando siamo passati al Neues (senza uscire), non abbiamo avuto modo di ritirarne un’altre

Hatte die Bescheinigung für den Eintritt im Friedrichspalast in Berlin irrtümlicherweise zu früh entsorgt, brauchte diese jedoch für den Eintausch gegen ein Ticket, mir wurde dann die Bescheinigung ins Hotel nachgesandt. Danke!
