What to expect
This half-day city tour is the ideal introduction to Marrakech. You'll unravel the city's history and culture by visiting some of its top attractions including Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace and Museum of Marrakech.We'll kick off the tour at the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque. Towering over Marrakech at 70 metres high, its minaret is the tallest building in the city and can be seen from almost all parts of the old town. You can admire its intricate stone carvings and pink-hued facade as your guide reveals more about its history. Next on the agenda is a special one, Marrakech's crown jewel - Bahia Palace. Wander through an extensive network of courtyards, gardens, and ornate pavilions, learning about its colourful past as you go. We'll round things off at the Museum of Marrakech. Here, you'll be able to delve into Moroccan history and culture, through vast collections of ancient objects, weapons and pottery.

It was leisurely allowing us plenty of time to also take in sites, while getting interesting information about the places we visited. The guide was attentive to the group, especially the slower people, and kept us entertained well. I did the half day - and came away very happy.

The guide was knowledgeable and funny. Saw what I came to Marrakesh to see. We did the half day tour, but even just 20mins to grab a souvenir would have been good as we weren't going back into the medina for the remainder if our holiday. Very fast paced, very busy, very hot. But it's the only way to see Marrakesh history.. we'd never have managed without a guide. Overall great tour, worth doing. Just be prepared with water, and comfy shoes

The guide was very good .The trip showed us the landmarks in the old town and shopping in souks .The only downfall was not enough time spent in palace .The trip is good value for money

We booked online rather than through the hotel TUI staff who might've told us that the bus would take us literally round the corner to start the tour. It was good to have our guide take us straight into the attractions, and he was really helpful and knowledgeable.

very helpful guide. interesting things to see. good to be chaperoned through the old town. there was a need to walk swiftly from stop to stop which was hard for some less able customers. it felt a bit rushed as the poor guide had to do it twice over each time; french and then english

Smooth hotel pick up and drop off. Guide very informative. Just take care throughout the sooks as very crowded and many scooters too. Overall would recommend.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable, he’s being doing it for 27 years. Did the palace and university tour, also through the markets which was interesting and all feeling very safe. Small downside they took us to a herbal demo by a so called pharmacist, not sure if it was legit but ok, just the pressure sale at the end. We bought a couple of items but didn’t have enough cash, they were not impressed but we still got the items about half price. Finished off by the open air markets, snakes and all.

Your group was too large, had difficulty listening to our guide. The guide also had to translate into French as well English to cater for all on the tour, this made things take twice as long. We didn’t visit the museum as advertised and there was very little historical content for a history tour. I don’t feel like I went away with any more understanding of the history of Marrakesh. Not as advertised

Whilst the tour we went on was ok it wasn’t what we booked. We booked a historic tour going to the mosque, the palace and the tombs. We went to the mosque outside only, the secret garden and the medina which we had already visited multiple times. Our guide was very engaging but very long stops as there was a French family on the tour so everything needed to be translated which took a lot of time. Don’t recommend.Overall very disappointing.

The hotel was beyond any criticism.The staff and all the expectations of being pampered was everything only downside was the swimming pools .They weren't heated and only the odd swimmer as the water was very cold.

Collected from our hotel by the coach and taken to the largest Mosque in Marrakech, the Saadian Tombs and the Berber museum. The guide was very informative and very funny. Loved the tour as it's a great way to see the city.

We chose to do the half day tour in the morning, as we felt a full day, may be too much. The guides’ knowledge was excellent and he was able to tell tales of interest, with humour, along with historic fact. It became a little difficult tuning in and out of the multi language, as he had to explain in both English and French to a mixed group, but overall he did a great job & it was very enjoyable.

Enjoyable 1/2 day, perhaps a couple of small points. In busy areas we lost the guide perhaps a small flag may have helped and because the tour was split with different languages it took a long time to complete his explanations. More time would have been nice to stroll around the museum.

A lot has been crammed into this one day experience! We had a fantastic time and learned a lot from our guide El Mekki SIRAJ who was extremely polite, knowledgeable and had some great stories to tell. The only downsides were rushed stops throughout the Souks and the group only got 30 minutes to go around the Medina at the end of the day so we ended up coming back later in the week to tour ourselves. Would recommend for visitors to gather an understanding of how busy it can be.

we were split into two groups; one who was doing the half day and one doing the whole. the problem with this is we were put with a group of French speakers and a French speaking guide, and it seems he explained for a very long time in French and hardly in English (speaking no French I have no idea what he said). I think Tui should have thought about this, after about an hour we were put with the other group and the guide was amazing and the tour was great very informative good pace. bring water!

Tour guide was excellent with knowledge and delivery of his stories as we moved through the historical parts of the city. Only issue is that this tour was joined with the full day tour. If you’re reading this review - book the full day version, by the time it comes to leave the others you will want to stay for the full day.

Didn’t learn much about the history of Marrakesh unfortunately. Tour guide was very funny and made the trip overall an enjoyable experience. However, the Bahai Palace was very busy and the museum was an old house- again not much information provided for what we were looking at. For all 3 locations we visited, it really wasn’t clear on how they made history. I can’t say I learnt much, however the locations were beautiful.

First off the guide was amazing!! There’s just not that much to see unfortunately! We did this as a half day tour and did the souks as a half day too to break it up, most people on the trip do the history then souls in afternoon. You stand outside the mosque for 15 mins and I didn’t feel like I learnt anything, Bahia palace is small and very busy so struggled to hear anything the guide said and the museum is a little house. If I didn’t do this tour I wouldn’t feel like I missed anything out.

The tour was stated as 4-8 hours but only lasted 2.5. We kept being asked in front of everyone else on the tour if we had booked a half day or full day, then when everyone else went for lunch we were told to leave - fine, just would have been nice to know this at the beginning.

Booked via the app. It said to print off which obviously you cannot do when your on holiday do I screenshot it, but he only needed our names anyway. This could be made clearer when booking.
Our guide was very informative and made sure that he had a good pace for the slower walkers.
