You'll explore mountains, caves and beaches at Cayo Levantado, Los Haitises National Park and Redonda Mountain – a 100% Dominican experience. Ramon, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Los Haitises is a haven for birds. Then it's off to Canitas, where you'll hop aboard a speedboat and zoom across Samana Bay to Cayo Levantado. This little island out in the bay is known for its blissful beaches. After time to swim, snorkel or sunbathe here, you'll enjoy a tasty lunch of fresh local fish, beachside. But there's more. You'll also discover abundant natural beauty in Los Haitises National Park. Weave through the rocky islets by boat and look out for wildlife in the thick vegetation. Great

The Los Haitises National Park Tour was a great experience overall. The views were stunning, the trip well-organized, and the staff friendly. However, the multilingual setup was an issue. The guide mainly spoke German and Italian, with little English explanation, and the addition of Spanish created confusion. Multilingual tours are fine, but with four languages, it becomes chaotic, and details are lost. Fewer languages or separate groups would improve clarity. Still, the park's beauty made it w

We enjoyed the whole experience. The only downside was the breakfast snack, 1 x ham & cheese roll

Great

It was a LONG day - lot of time on bus. You will travel to top of mountain in open back truck. The summit is fun, swings n ziplines ($15 each). Long boat ride to beach. Voucher for drinks and lunch on beach then to the national Park tour, caves and trip down mangrove creak. We enjoyed the nature, but the bus ride through the back roads on the way there was interesting but brutally long on the way back. Be prepared for lots of tourist mech being pushed at all stops.

This trip was absolutely stunning and despite the high price it included a wide range of activities to give the true Dominican experience as promised! The guide was very knowledgable about the area and gave great information, however seemed disinterested in ensuring the group was all together and any issues (ie members of the group were very sea sick and others fell over but the guide completely ignored these).

Wonderful excursion! The mountain is beautiful, with optional zipline ($15 pp) and swings etc. The island/beach is also stunning, with a nice lunch (optional delicious cocktails at $8, recommend bringing cash). Definitely worth a lounge on the beach/dip in the sea (bring towels and change of clothes, especially if you intend to swim and you may get some spray from the boat or rainfall). Los Haitises is stunning, the caves and island of birds were wonderful. Very long day though, 12-15 hours!

Great

Beautiful beach. Cocktail coco Loco is not to be missed, worth 10 $ spent. Beach trip was followed by fascinating tour of local mangrove forest, where we enjoyed some incredible wildlife. Speed boat at the end was hilarious. Tour guide tried his best, but some quiet time on a way back would have been nice.

Great

The guide Joel was excellent he gave a commentary in English, Spanish and German. He was really knowledgeable as well. The trip to the Mt Rotunda was excellent, the light breakfast is a sandwich on the coach and a coffee at the top of the Mt Rotunda which was fine for us. The boat over to Bacardi island was fun and we got two free drinks, we also had cash (peso and US dollars) so we got some extra drinks. The Mangroves and cave were a nice finish to the day. The coach trip back was about 2hrs.

Great

Too long a trip, too much waiting around, no breakfast apart from a cup of coffee from a flask, poor lunch facilities, no clear information regarding the long boat trip,.

Great

The trip was great except for a few points which future passengers should be aware of. The trip was advertised as 8 hours but we were actually out for 15 starting at 5:40am and returning to our hotel at 8:50pm and having nothing to eat since 1pm we were both tired and hungry. The other point to be aware of is to wear your swim wear on the boat after lunch as although we were warn we may get splashed in reality we were drenched and we didn’t have any more dry clothing. I would have been happy to sit in my swim wear on the speed boat and enjoyed getting soaked. Overall this is a great trip except for the guide who sadly had his favourites and it wasn’t the small British group. I booked this believing it was in English when in reality it was for all nationalities but the guide clearly bonded with a group of French and Spanish people and spent most of the tour talking to them. It’s hard to concentrate when the information is delivered in several languages but even harder when he clearly favoured other nationalities

Great

On the positive side there was plenty of variation between the various activities. On the negative side there was quite a long drive to the start point and an even longer drive back home resulting in a long day overall - 12 hours from pick up to drop off.
