What to expect
The road less travelled in Gozo leads you to myriad treasures. And there's no better way to discover them than this off-road adventure. Seated in the backseat of a 4x4, you'll explore all four corners of the island, taking in attractions such as the Qala Belvedere, Xlendi Bay, the Inland Sea and the Victoria Citadel among others.You'll get the chance to see some of the island's famous landmarks. The Neolithic Ggantija Temples and the medieval magic of the capital, Victoria, and its hilltop Citadel. There'll also be visits to salt pans and limestone quarries as well as a craft centre.Gozo is known for its many natural beauty spots, too, and by 4x4 they're easy to get to. Spot the steep cliffs in Sannat, Ramla Bay's red sand beach, the famous Inland Sea lagoon and the mysterious Calypso Cave, which legend says was the setting for part of Homer's epic Odyssey. This excursion packs a lot into one adrenaline-pumping day.

Unser Guide Cedric war wirklich hervorragend, lustig und hat uns viele interessante Informationen über Gozo erzählt. Obwohl ich nicht so gut Englisch spreche konnte ich ihn sehr gut verstehen.

Das Fahrzeug war auf sehr schlechtem technischen Stand. Sind bei der Fahrt durchnässt worden, da nur Sonnendach, kein Regenschutz. Es hat drei Stunden lang stärker geregnet. Der Guide wollte wissen, was wir sehen wollen. Da wir nichts kannten, hätten wir gerne wenigstens Vorschläge erwartet zur Auswahl. Leider nur wenige Informationen, die wir erhielten. Andere Guides haben sogar beim Essen mit am Tisch gesessen. Unser Guide hat zwischendurch die ********** Kleidung zu Hause wechseln müssen.

Auf Grund des Wellenganges waren beide Überfahrten mit der großen Fähre. Bei diesem Wetter auch sicherer. Unser Guide war leider etwas Maulfaul. Es ist von Vorteil wenn man sich im Vorfeld einige Ziele ausguckt. Die Jeeps hatten schon einige Jahre hinter sich und leider nicht so sauber wie erwartet. Es war dennoch ein toller Tag und viel gesehen. Der Hinweis auf die Badesachen wäre vorher gut gewesen. Der kurze Badestop am roten Strand war prima. Die Tour ist trotzdem empfehlenswert.
