What to expect

Take a full-day excursion to one of Switzerland’s most attractive destinations, the magnificent Jungfrau region in the idyllic Bernese Oberland. Explore the famous mountain resort Grindelwald, also named Eiger or Glacier Village, and enjoy a panoramic train ride to Interlaken, uniquely nestled between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun. Stroll past rustic chalets to one of the numerous lookout points that provide stunning views of the impressive surrounding mountain scape including the world-famous triple peaks Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Opt for an aerial cable way ride to Mt First and venture on the 40-meter-long Cliff Walk by Tissot before hiking one of the many trails open all year-round or undertaking a speedy Trottibike scooter ride in summer. In winter, change to the other valley side for a train ride up to Alpiglen, where a fast-paced sledging run takes you down to Brandegg under the majestic Eiger North Face.Enjoy an individual public train ride (replaced by a bus transfer from April 1, 2025) back to Interlaken and spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Interlaken. Browse local stores for regional souvenirs or take a funicular ride up to Interlaken’s local mountain Harder Kulm for splendid views over the two lakes and the surrounding peaks (summer only). Full of mountain-fresh air and fond alpine memories, you meet your tour guide for the return journey in the late afternoon.

The tour is guided from Zurich to Grindelwald and from Interlaken to Zurich by a professional, multilingual guide (English, Spanish, Chinese)
For the unescorted part from Grindelwald to Interlaken, you'll receive detailed, written information
External weather conditions are beyond control, consequently no refunds will be offered due to poor or less than ideal weather

Although the Mountains and scenery was breathtaking, the guide was not helpful in answering our questions and waited the last minute to provide what we were going to do. The brochure only stated what options we can take, but did not provide any logistics on how we get there and back.
