If you prefer, you can simply observe, jot down notes, or take photographs - just relax and soak up the experience! Know in advance:

On the terrace, you’ll find many shoes. It is customary to take off your shoes before entering a house

Kindly adapt your clothes to the local culture. In bigger cities, people are more tolerant than in the countryside. Know that showing too much skin is not appreciated

Please discuss with each other when you or the local family want to take pictures (and/or post them on social media). Most of the time, everyone is fine with it
