What to expect
Visit Bangkok's most unique temples including Wat Trimitr, Wat Pho, and Benjamaborpitr on a private guided tour with multiple language options. See spectacular pagodas and golden Buddha statues while getting a deep understanding of Thai culture. After your hotel pickup, start your tour at the Wat Trimitr temple, home of the largest known solid gold Buddha image in the world. Learn about the fascinating history of the 700-year-old statue that stands at 15 feet tall and weighs approximately 5.5 tons.Continue through Bangkok’s thriving Chinatown district to the grounds of the Wat Pho temple, a large and extensive monument neighbouring the Grand Palace enclave. There, discover the massive gold-plated Reclining Buddha, measuring 46 meters long and 15 meters high, with beautifully inlaid mother-of-pearl soles. Considered to be one of the worlds’ most famous temples, Wat Pho is also regarded as the first centre of public education and is sometimes called ‘Thailand’s first university’. Well-known for its Thai massage services within the temple walls, many come here to relax and enjoy a peaceful day. Finally, stop at Wat Benjamaborpitr, also called the White Marble Temple and one of the finest examples of Thai architecture that is noted for its elegant white marble façade imported from Italy.
