A warm welcome at the beachside village of Afitos awaits on this evening excursion. It's the place to be on the weekends, too, with live music, shops and traditional tavernas churning out steaming hot plates of delicious food. You'll be dropped off in the village for the evening where you can eat, drink and do as much or as little as you want.On arrival, you'll soon be swept away by the lively atmosphere that takes over the village every weekend. You'll be shown around by your guide, before around three hours to enjoy as you wish. Perhaps browse the shops for souvenirs or sip on an ouzo while live music comes and goes in waves. Then there are tavernas and bars overlooking the sea where you can grab a cocktail or a bite to eat with some impressive views. And with your return transfer already sorted, you don't need to worry about the drive back. It's a fun-filled night out in a pretty corner of Halkidiki.

Great

I enjoyed that the coach that picked me up was actually 5 mins early, and that the shops in afytos stayed open for us, and we had a guide who spoke to us in english, not german all the time..

Just confusion over the head count when leaving and going back to the hotels. They had to count 3 or 4 times as 2 people late home, 4 late going.

Efficient pick up met by a guide who gave the group a quick tour with some information ((approx 20 mins ) rest of the time was yours to enjoy Ayftos. Depending on location of hotel it could be a late night return.

Expensive for what it was, but a lovely little village perfect trip as where we stayed there was nothing around. Lots of bars and restaurants across the sea front full of character and nice shops

We were lead to believe the transfer was 30 minutes, infact it took over an hour each way. The a/c on the coach was very poor. The guide only joined us in Afitos and was with us for 20 minutes maximum. We had 3 hours spare time which was good if you wanted to take a meal, which we did but to long if just there for a wonder.

The trip was amazing it gives you an insight into how the traditional little villages live their lives lots of local cuisine and gift shops with hand made products. The only downfall was the guide he was more fluent in German than in English so we felt that they got more information than we did as English

The place was great! But the tour was a bit rubbish we got marched innto the town and through it not being told much, then we arrived at meeting point on time half an hour before pick up then had to hang around for ages, was very disorganised.

The overall experience was great & it gave us a taste of a traditional Greek village. Some people had commented on they felt they would have wanted longer there, we had 3hrs there! We managed to eat a meal as they are very quick with service, we did a spot of shopping & a look around the village. We had about 20 mins left at the end to grab a cold drink & ice cream. So overall the timing was perfect, except I guess if we had got there 1hr previous it would hv been nice to see the coastline

Great

Afytos was very nice and the guide was excellent and informative. The time there was a lot shorter than expected and we were asked to meet 35 minutes before the bus set to depart that seemed quite excessive. Even though passengers were counted. We had to turn back after about 10 minutes travelling as 3 passengers had been left behind somehow. Lots of people moaned but we just rolled with it!

The village itself was lovely & the food we ate & service we received from all shopkeepers etc was excellent. However the guide walked far too fast & had no consideration for anybody who wasn’t able to keep up. I was with my elderly father. Every time we stopped, we had missed half of the information he was passing on. Others who were behind us also experienced the same. Ideally we would have liked an extra hour in the village - perhaps an earlier pick up time could be considered.

Afitos is a charming little town - you get a 20 minute guided tour and then a few hours to yourself to find a restaurant or bar, or browse the shops. Coach transfer was effortless (much cheaper than a taxi!). The restaurants and shops all seemed reasonably priced too.

The trip was good and we had a lovely evening, we even had a sing a long on the coach back. I would advise anyone that goes on this trip, if you go to have dinner whilst taking in the views, take your time to choose your restaurant, don’t just pick the first one unless you want to pay a fortune for very small meals!

Charming historical village atmosphere at night with bars, restaurants and craft shops. You will have about 3 hours to wander and explore. Would liked to have arrived about an hour before it got dark though to witness the crystal sea waters. Friendly locals. Recommend

As the nights get darker earlier then it would have been better to have started the trip earlier? This would have provided the opportunity to see the village views and harbour and the sun setting? As it was it was dark all the time? Was a nice trip and a lovely village, although not a huge amount to do if you were not intending to have a meal?

Great

Our trip to Afitos was lovely, it’s a charming little place, very busy with a nice atmosphere. The guide was a waste of time though as the group they joined us with was so big that no one at the back could hear him. So we just made our own way around to explore. There are plenty of restaurants, however I’m pleased we ate at the hotel beforehand as it gave us more time to visit the shops and and have a few drinks in the bars. Would thoroughly recommend.

We enjoyed the scenic journey on the way- the sun was setting over the sea. The village is pretty and very easy to explore. 3 hours free time to potter about the various souvenir shops and find those essential purchases and to enjoy waffles and ice cream.

Hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The Tui reps were great and organise some good events. Did not enjoy Afitos by night as much, as felt it was too busy and got back to the hotel late.

Our guide, a local to Afitos, provided us with interesting facts about his home town and an overview of it, explaining do in and shopping opportunities offered enabling us to make our own choices when left to explore the area.

This visit is such good value for money. To get a return taxi would have been more expensive and you also have a tour guide that shows you the main parts of the village before letting you explore it on your own. Afitos is absolutely gorgeous with lots of places to eat, things to see and amazing shops that sell good quality souvenirs. We took a 2 year old and everything was accessible for a buggy, even though it is hilly. There were no steps. Well worth a visit, definitely recommend!

The first time we did this trip we fell in love with the views from Afytos. We ate at seafood place and had cocktails at Notos and then had to get the coach back. We wanted to go back again, and a taxi from our hotel was €80 return, so we booked again for the coach excursion as it was around €40. This time we got off the coach and went on our own, rather than follow the guide, and spent the time exploring and shopping as well as having drinks. A great experience both times.

A lovely night in a beautiful village. The views, bars, restaurants are so charismatic. However, clients need to be advised to wear suitable footwear as there is some walking involved and surfaces are uneven to say the least. It was very busy the night we were there due to a wedding - but seeing the wedding was an added bonus! Overall an experience well worth doing.

Lovely village with plenty of places to eat and drink. Nice little shops and stalls, open late (until about 11pm). Only need 2-3 hours there. Quite hilly so worth considering this for those with mobility issues.

Great

It is a beautiful little village to visit, but you only need a few hours there. Cobbled streets, little churches, great restaurants, tourist shops and a friendly atmosphere. The coach journey to and from is fine, it felt a little unorganised for tui - no guide on bus.
