What we expect
Hiking in La Gomera gives a glimpse of how the Canaries would have looked centuries before civilization. You'll start in El Cercado – a tiny mountain town famed for its pottery making and typical stone houses. Then, you'll hike through the island's ancient laurel forests in the heart of Garajonay National Park, stopping for an optional picnic along the way. You'll end in Valle Gran Rey, with time for a coffee before we head back.

What to remember
This is a full day tour – leaving at 09:30 and returning at 17:00 – with hiking time of around four hours
Refreshments and picnic lunch are not included – please bring a packed lunch with you

The trip is good value for money, but needs more information on the basics. It should be clear there are no toilets at all on route.

Chris the tour guide was absolutely amazing. So knowledgeable. He spoke 4 different languages. He gave us the history of the island . His knowledge of plants was exceptional. He was very fit and safety conscious. Thank you Chris .The place is absolutely breathtaking. The walk was well worth every penny . An experience I will always remember.

A great walk - not overly demanding so reasonably fit people should be easily capable of completing it. The group was split into 2 - an English group and a German speaking group respectively. Chris, the English speaking guide, was both entertaining and informative. The scenery was lovely and varied. Highly recommended

A hike through the enchanting Garojonay National Park. Last part of walk challenging - steep, strenuous & in full sunshine. Excursion let down by TUI’s description of it on app and TUI staff lack of knowledge. Specifically: - there is no reference to the difficulty or length of tbe walk by TUI (or even the duration of the excursion) - an incorrect pick up location is given - come on, TUI, get this right! - the excursion isn’t exclusive to TUI. SUMMARY: GOOD EXCURSION, BAD INFO FROM TUI

Excellent hike but very tough going. I think it needs to be really clear that the terrain is quite challenging in parts with many uphill and downhill narrow rocky paths.
