If you have a taste for the high life, then this tour hits the heights. You'll discover Spain's highest mountain and the tallest tree in the Canaries on this trip to Teide National Park. Handily, there's only one pick-up and drop off point, centrally located in Playa de las Americas, so the bulk of your experience is actually exploring Tenerife rather than going from hotel to hotel.

The journey to the top of the island is a scenic one. Along the way, you'll stop just outside Vilaflor – the highest village in Spain – to take some selfies by the tallest tree in the Canary Islands. Pino de las Pernadas is 56m tall, while the nearby Pino Gordo is so wide that at least nine people holding hands are needed to cover its circumference. Both are estimated to be more than 700 years old.

After this pit stop, it's on to Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dramatic volcanic landscapes await as you venture to see the 3,700-metre Mount Teide. You'll pass through four climate zones, which create an ever-changing kaleidoscope of terrains, flora and fauna, and see the Roques de Garcia formations.
