What to expect
Nothing says Lapland more than a traditional sleigh ride through dreamy snowy landscape. You'll enjoy a Santa-style sleigh ride pulled by reindeers past wintery scenes, and warm up your fingertips at the end with a hot berry drink and Lappish snack over an open fire as you learn all about reindeer herding.Climb aboard Santa's sleigh and set off through the magical winter wonderland that is Lapland. You'll glide effortlessly past frozen lakes and forests carpeted in powdery snow during the ride, and watch as the reindeers pull you along as they navigate the land.The reindeers will lead you to a camp where an open fire will be roaring and hot berry drinks are ready for pouring. Warm up and tuck into a Lappish snack, savouring this quintessential Lapland experience. But before you go, there's one last thing - you'll be able to get to grips with the basics of reindeer herding.

First of all we had booked the 5th of Dec and this date was changed to the 7th and we were not told .TUI rep Jack Frost was absolutely brilliant though dealing with this for us. When we were collected from our hotel Panorama we were brought to the meeting point down town but we were never told that we would not be dropped back to our hotel and when we asked the guide he said no it's collection only not dropped back .We had a small child with us and had to make our own way back but not told

The guide and the staff were fantastic. The staff really knew what they was on about and the guy was really friendly and helpful. We booked this trip for my wife’s birthday on her birthday but then to be told when we get there but they have moved the date without telling me and the only way I found out was by asking what time I was on the trip and then still they told me it was going ahead on her birthday and I couldn’t change the time Then be told by another Rep it was the day before

Very disappointed as my time from booking was changed. This meant it was dark and couldn’t see anything. Felt really upset as paid £1300 for my group to see nothing.

The blankets on the sleigh were very thin. But it was a magical experience through the forest. It was amazing. The kids enjoyed it and stayed warm sat in between the adults legs. The staff were kind and clear with instructions. I loved it!

It was a magical experience. We were lucky we went on the first safari for the second group it was dark. The date & time was changed and I was not informed. If we hadnt have gone to the welcome event we wouldn't have known, no email received. Would have preferred an earlier slot as originally booked.

Loved the experience overall, especially the sleigh ride itself and feeding the younger reindeer. There was spare time at the end of the activity, before the coach return and younger children enjoyed sledging down a hill nearby. This appealed less to my older daughter however, and so there was a bit of waiting around. Apart from that, this was a fantastic experience and the guides were very knowledgeable.

Positives - Levi itself is a lovely place, the snow was brilliant, the Santa visit and activities were mostly very good. Negatives - hotel poor (rooms were very dated and too basic for the price), food absolutely awful - nothing good at all about the food. I pre-booked an activity but was made to queue for for 30 minutes to collect the voucher I was told was necessary - I was never asked to show that voucher, very frustrating. Overall - budget trip at boutique price.

We really enjoyed learning the history of the family and reindeer. The guides were friendly and no question was left unanswered. My only negative would be the length of the sleigh ride wasn't long enough and it would have been nicer to spend more time actually with the reindeer feeding them and interacting with them but overall we enjoyed the trip

The experience was nice, however the actual sleigh ride was short, and felt rushed. The talk afterwards was long and boring. We felt that paying over £400 was extortionate, and not value for money. Plus our itinerary was changed meaning we missed out on another pre booked excursion, losing over £400. Very upset.

Overall a brilliant experience and so glad we did it. Just wish we had longer on the actual reindeer ride as felt it was a lot of money and that the sleigh ride only made up a small amount of time for the whole experience. The experience was also sold to us that we would all be in 1 large sleigh together when it was actually 3 separate sleighs. Overall a brill experience just wish it had been for a longer sleigh ride.

We really enjoyed our reindeer ride but because of the time in the afternoon it was very dark( I know that Finland doesn’t get much sun light hours) and it was quite expensive for what it was and could get it cheaper in Levi but all in all we enjoyed it.
