What to expect
Go on a private day trip to the Delta Works, a large flood protection system known as one of the seven modern wonders of the world. Together with your guide, you will visit the artificial island of Neeltje Jans and discover how the Dutch keep the ocean at bay.At the Delta Works, the largest flood protection system in the world comprised of 13 integrated sections, you will learn how the Dutch defy the forces of nature and keep a country that lies largely under sea level afloat.The tour will also introduce you to the scenic surrounding area with its beautiful beaches and plentiful culinary hotspots. You will have the chance to explore the small manmade island of Neeltje Jans, which was created to support the dam system.
