What to expect
Your timed admission ticket to Stonehenge gives you access to one of the world's most fascinating prehistoric sites as well as entry to the visitor center, which displays hundreds of prehistoric objects found in the vicinity of Stonehenge.This stone-circle-shaped structure is a UNESCO World Heritage site dating back to the Neolithic era. It is believed to have been built around 2500 BC, though no one knows exactly for what, a mystery that attracts thousands of visitors each year. While the reason for which Stonehenge was built is still up for debate, historians and archaeologists have put forth a few theories and speculations which you can discover at the Visitor Center.In addition, the new outdoor gallery showcases several reconstructed Neolithic houses designed to offer some insight into the Neolithic lifestyle of the individuals who constructed this masterpiece of engineering.All photos by English Heritage

Admission to Stonehenge is managed through timed tickets so advance booking is strongly recommended as it's the only way to guarantee entry on the day and at the time of your choice
Please try to arrive on time for your chosen time slot as late arrivals could result in not being able to enter or being asked to wait until the next time slot available where numbers are lower
Opening times are subject to change - visit the venue website for the up-to-date hours of operation. Last admission is 2 hours before closing time

You can reach the site by the Stonehenge Tour Bus, the public bus that departs from Salisbury rail and bus stations

Mooi om de tentoonstelling in het bezoekerscentrum eerst te bezoeken zodat je met de nodige informatie naar Stonehenge kunt wandelen( er zijn ook pendelbussen)
Ondanks dat er nog veel onduidelijkheid is over het hoe- en waarom was het toch mooi om te bezoeken. Er zijn ook grafheuvels in nabijheid.

I was very disappointed that a place which gets so much rain would not have coverage for visitors from the rain. We stood for a very long time waiting for the shuttle bus in the pouring rain! That seems crazy when it tends to rain almost everyday. Very Unacceptable!!

Stonehenge is interesting, and the audio commentary is well done. They had a Lego build for kids, which we really enjoyed. The only down side was we prebooked our tickets but still stood in line for 30 minutes to get in. Those that purchased tickets on site got in faster cause that line was shorter.

Estuvo increíble. Sólo una observación, yo llegué por mi cuenta desde Londres vía tren, pero cómo mi cita la puse a las 9:30 am y desde la estación no sale ningún autobús hacia Stonehenge antes de las 10 am... pues tuve que contratar un taxi. Deberían hacer esta observación para ir prevenidos.
