What to expect

Starting from Cascais train station, this small-group tour will go through through romantic towns and breathtaking landscapes, including Sintra,, Cabo da Roca and Cascais.Firstly, you will visit Sintra, where you'll discover the emblematic Pena Palace, Moorish Castle, National Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, and Monserrate Palace. You will have time to visit Pena Palace park and Terraces and Quinta da Regaleira, the other monuments will be seen from specific points.Then, you will go through the mountains and through the vineyard region of Colares, heading to the westernmost point of the European Continent, Cabo da Roca, with its 140 m high cliffs over the deep blue Atlantic Ocean.Taking the coastal road to Cascais and overlooking the sea, you will go through the amazing Guincho Beach, Boca do Inferno, and reach Cascais, the well-known royal summer resort since the end of the 19th century.

Ondanks het slechte weer was de uitstap zeker de moeite waard. De begeleider-gids was zeer vriendelijk. Pedro heeft ons de ganse dag begeleid:geholpen bij het nemen van de ticketten,deskundige uitleg gegeven,tips gegeven voor de lokale specialiteiten...

Fijne rondleiding gekregen waarbij goed rekening werd gehouden met de wensen van het gezelschap. De gids had veel kennis van alle bezienswaardigheden en de historie ervan. Zou deze trip zeker aanraden wanneer je in de buurt verblijft.

Pedro is een geweldige gids, hij spreekt duidelijk Engels, weet veel en liet ons dingen zien waar je als gewone toerist aan voorbij zou zijn gelopen. Zijn rijstijl is heel prettig. Zou deze excursie met deze gids zeker aanraden.
