You will first reach the exceptional village of Les Baux de Provence. From the Middle Ages, the village has kept the narrow streets, the Renaissance-styled private mansions, the imposing ruins of a castle and the memory of the proud lords and troubadours. Discover the Pont du Gard, a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. The Roman architects and hydraulic engineers who designed this bridge, which stands almost 50 m high and is on three levels – the longest measuring 275 m – created a technical as well as an artistic masterpiece.
