Visit several of the main sights and places of interest during this private sightseeing tour in the south of Mauritius.Begin the day with a pick-up from your hotel and head to Trou Aux Cerfs Volcanic Crater in Curepipe. Next you will visit Voiliers de L'Ocean and meet with capable people working on the ship model of the 18th century.After that you will visit Grand Bassin, which consists of a Spiritual Lake in the forest and a giant Shiva statue as well as the Black River Gorges viewpoint. Our south island tour started when we met our guide for the day, Tridev. He was such a knowledgeable guy and we had great fun with him, we even invited him to join us for lunch where we shared pictures of our family members. He showed us some amazing sights, the highlight being the Hindu temple, of which he was very proud. Finishing off with a rum tasting like no other!! Great day, and would recommend it to anyone, make sure you ask for Tridev. A true ambassador for the company.

First couple of stops were a little underwhelming with little contribution from the guide. This led to us not being told where the model boat making was. We enjoyed the nature reserve, the waterfall and the seven coloured geopark. Meal was nice and rum tasting was good apart from it being very difficult to hear the guide as the French speaking guide in the next group was very loud and right next to us.

Kamal our guide was fantastic, to have a native Mauritian who is so passionate about sharing his knowledge of the island, culture, faith (especially Hinduism) was brilliant. He also was very interested in hearing about our backgrounds and home country. The sites visited were varied and interesting

We enjoyed everything about this trip, there was nothing we didn't like! We booked this 2 days before the trip took place and so happy we did. Vik (our tour guide) was amazing and so knowledgeable. Throughout the day Vik would point out so many things to us, and answered our many questions :) We felt very lucky to be given such a great guide.

Gut gefallen hat uns die Tour mit dem Fahrer und den entsprechenden Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir würden uns bei solchen Touren (von insgesamt ungefähr 8 Stunden) wünschen, dass der Fahrer Getränke dabei hätte, die aus unserer Sicht auch in dem Preis inbegriffen sein sollten.

We had the best day with our guide Yoogle. He was so informative, helpful and lovely. We saw monkeys at the hindu temple which was incredible and the waterfall was amazing. We had the most incredible lunch ever at the chamarel panoramic restuarant. Please go you will not regret it the view is one of the best we have ever seen. The whole day was a 10/10 experience and has made us want to come back to Mauritius.

Unser Fahrer Nadim war super nett, hatte ein unheimliches Allgemeinwissen über die Kultur der Insel. Die Tour ist fantastisch! Man entdeckt wunderschöne Ecken der Insel. Auch das Mittagessen am Aussichtspunkt war traumhaft und lecker. Kann die Tour nur weiter empfehlen.

Everything we saw was great! Our guide was very knowledgeable and knew the history of the island well. The best part was the 7 coloured soil followed by the lunch at the panoramic restaurant. The views were stunning! Weather can affect what you can see. My husband and I had to be quite patient at times but we waiting for spots of sun peaking through and saw some amazing views.

I would highly recommend this trip. Our driver and tour guide lyndly was amazing. He had so much knowledge and made the whole trip really interesting. The sites we seen were beautiful. I especially enjoyed the temple and the black river gorge .

Dyktig og hyggelig guide som var opptatt av at vi skulle ha en god opplevelse. De 2 stoppene på suvenir butikker er unødvendige og gir ingenting for turen. Guiden sa at man ikke må kjøpe noe, men det er stort kjøpepress i butikkene.

das hotel entspricht leider nicht mehr einem 5 stern hotel - etwas in die jahre gekommen! die reseption kann kaum weiterhelfen - immere etwas überfordert! die angestellten funktionieren nur über trinkgeld - da frage ich mich, ob sofitel so schlecht bezahlt?? das tui-app war super - hat alles geklappt!

Really enjoyable way to see part of the island. The guide was informative and professional and made the day really special. He listened to what we wanted to do and didn’t force anything on us just for the sake of it. Would happily recommend both the trip seeing some very beautiful parts of the island, the really lovely meal at the rum factory, which was such a nice surprise, but especially the tour guide Vashisht (so sorry if I’ve spelt that wrong)

De tour biedt elk wat wils. Prachtige natuur en uitzichten (vooral de waterval en de lunchplek). De gids wist veel te vertellen over het eiland en nam de tijd om alle vragen te beantwoorden. De tempel bezoeken was een leuke ervaring. De chauffeur reed rustig en zorgde dat de auto steeds werd voorgereden na een activiteit. Chamarel was een ervaring op zich, zowel het uitzicht als de rumproeverij. Privétour is zeker de moeite waard, zo kan je in je eigen tempo alle plekken bezichtigen.

Der Service von TUI vor-Ort im Hotel war ein Katastrophe. Der angekündigte TUI Mitarbeiter ist nicht erschienen. Irgendwann kam ein Ersatzmann, der allerdings völlig überfordrt war und nicht wusste, wer zu welchem Tourguide sollte … schlussendlich haben wir es ohne TUI direkt mit dem unterbeauftragten Veranstalter geklärt und einen tollen Tag erlebt. Super kompetent und netter Führer und Fahrer, die immer auf uns eingegangen sind. Echt klasse Erlebnis!

The driver and guide, Geerish, was excellent. Good balance of being a companion and letting enjoy the trip ourselves. Very knowledgeable about history, geography, economics and politics of Mauritius which really added to the day. It is clearly a tried and tested tour itinerary, but we totally enjoyed each bit. He kept to a good time schedule which meant we avoided crowded times at each venue. We appreciated his thoughtfulness on this.

We were kept updated about our hotel pick up time. Gregory.our guide and Sam our driver were very knowledgeable and answered all the many questions we had with good detail and always a smile. Although the extinct volcano was a huge cavern the views of the rest of the island were spectacular and an excellent photo opportunity. This was an excellent mix of culture and nature and tell view from the restaurant at lunch was breath taking. Great value for money and tailored to us highly recommend this

The private tour is so worth the extra money. We had a private guide and driver and both were incredible. They stopped to show us many extra things like the fruit growing, extra photo spots etc. that we never would have had on the group tour. Also the guide had lunch with us and we were able to ask so many 121 questions and got a real idea of what life was like for a real Mauritian. So great!

We booked this private tour via the TUI app and we feel it definitely worth the money. Prisha (I hope I remember her name right) was extremely great tour guide and shared so much interesting info en-route to locations. The rum tasting is fantastic, sightseeings were really enjoyable. We had lunch at a panoramic restaurant with a breathtaking view. I would definitely recommend this over group tours, fantastic experience!

Die Reise über Land durch den Nationalpark war sehr schön. Der Besuch der Chamarel Rum Brennerei sit shr schön. Der große Wasserfall und auch die 7 farbigen Erden sind beeindruckend. Das Mittagessen am Aussichtspunkt auf die Westküste ist super toll.

There wasn't anything we didn't enjoy about this trip. The guide was very friendly, conversational and informative, but also left us to explore at our own pace as well (I've frustratingly forgot her name but it started with an S). We got to explore some beautiful natural landmarks, as well as a gorgeous lunch on the west of the island with a brilliant view. We also found the trip to the hindu shrine very relaxing The rum tasting is highly recommended too! Thanks for a great trip!

Roy from summertime who led our private tour was brilliant. Very knowledgeable and a really lovely man. We felt safe throughout the whole experience and came away having learnt loads. The volcano at the start is a little disappointing as you can’t see a lot but from then on, the excursion gets better and better. Lunch is a particular highlight - what a view!

Leider ist unser ursprünglich gebuchter deutschsprachiger Guide aufgrund von Covid-19 ausgefallen, allerdings hat unser englischsprachiger Ersatz-Guide seinen Job fantastisch gemacht, uns viel über die Kultur und Insel vermittelt und sich perfekt um uns und unser Wohl gesorgt. Die Tour bietet einen sehr vielfältigen Einblick in die Sehenswürdigkeiten der Insel und war sehr kurzweilig.

The guide was 10/10, gave us the right amount of time at places and the perfect amount of input. Driver was great. The lunch stop was amazing (view was an amazing suprise) with delicious food. Unfortunately the rum distillery was not in action on our visit so the tour was about 10 minutes and we didnt see anything working which was a shame. All in all we saw alot in the day, abit of a whistle atop tor of in-land Mauritius.

Having a private tour was brilliant. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. He was very efficient which meant we were either fast tracked to the front of queues and he knew where/when it would be busy to avoid or not busy to take us first. Such a lot was crammed into the trip but not so much that you couldn’t enjoy it or take it in. Great value for money compared to a group tour. We really did experience a lot all in one day.

Unsere Begleiterin Santana spricht ein sehr gutes deutsch. Sie hat uns ausführlich und sehr viel über Mauritius erzählt. Auf unsere Fragen haben wir immer ausführliche Antworten erhalten. Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß. Die Rundfahrt ist unserer Meinung sehr gut zusammengestellt und abwechslungsreich.
