The River Kwai Bridge, Kanchanaburi's most famous attraction, has a legendary history. What to remember
Know in advance:
Wat Tham Khao Pun cave houses bats and has a strong smell, with some narrow sections. If you prefer not to visit, inform the tour operator by the day before. Note that this stop cannot be replaced, but you'll be taken to a viewpoint with lovely bars instead
The boat has a small roof, but if it rains you might get wet. Please be prepared for this scenario
Rain in Thailand is unpredictable and can happen anytime. The tour will continue in the rain if conditions are safe, and no refund will be granted. If conditions are determined to be unsafe, the tour will be cancelled
Note that the Chungkai Military Cemetery is not part of the standard itinerary and is a bonus stop if accessible. Visiting depends on whether the privately-owned entrance is open
