What to expect
Discover Hamburg - the beautiful metropolis on the Elbe! You will get to know the Speicherstadt and Hafencity, then during a ferry trip also the harbor and finally St. Pauli and the Reeperbahn.
The tour begins in the historic Speicherstadt, once the largest warehouse complex in Europe. Behind it lies the new Hafencity, creating an impressive interplay between land and water, between old and modern! Millions of tons of cocoa and coffee, fine carpets, expensive spices, and all kinds of general cargo were stored here, but also refined and sorted. This charming area is now home to many museums and cafés and is crisscrossed by canals on which the so-called Schutenschupser once shipped the goods.
In Hafencity you will pass Dallmannkai, the Magellan, and Marco Polo Terraces, then Unileverhaus and the cruise terminal. After a short break, you will continue towards the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall, where you will board a ferryboat. During your trip, you will see old museum ships, the Rickmer Rickmers and the Cap San Diego, before getting off again at the Landungsbrücken.
Now you will climb the "Hamburger Berg", which offers a magnificent view of the harbor. But you will also see that place where the "Lohntütenball" used to cause great excitement every Friday afternoon. In St. Pauli you will see the dancing towers and the Spielbudenplatz.
