What to expect
Experience a day filled with captivating sights including Asahiyama Zoo, Japan's northernmost zoo. Spend about 1.5 hours exploring the zoo and having lunch. Even in winter, the animals remain active: watch penguins take a snowy walk, see playful raccoons, curious seals, and monkeys huddling for warmth.
From April to November, visit Biei Blue Pond and Shirahige Falls. Spend around 30 minutes at Biei Aoike, a stunning blue pond formed by volcanic magma. Then visit Shirahige Falls in Furano, known for its “white beard” of cascading water. From December to March, visit Biei's famous Ken & Merry Tree, and spend 40 minutes at Four Seasons Hill, enjoying activities like snowmobiling and sledding in this snow paradise.
End the tour at the enchanting Ningle Terrace in Furano, a charming workshop village inspired by Japanese novels.
