You will step into the Straits and Oriental Museum, set in a beautifully restored heritage mansion in George Town, Penang. You will explore what was once a Peranakan family home, surrounded by traditional Straits Chinese architecture. Inside, you will discover a fascinating collection of Peranakan artefacts—clothing, furniture, ceramics, and jewellery—brought to life through interactive displays and multimedia exhibits.You will marvel at porcelain treasures recovered from famous shipwrecks like the Wanli, Turiang, and Xuande. You will join a guided tour in English, led by a passionate expert who will share rich insights into Peranakan culture.
