Visit Mount of Olives, where you can see the City of Jerusalem spread out beneath you. Admire the Old City and the Temple Mount where Solomon’s Temple once stood whilst hearing the story of the times that it was destroyed. Then, you'll feel the atmosphere as you view the Garden of Gethsemane, plus the tomb is David's cenotaph covered with a velvet cloth embroidered with symbols of a lyre and crown. You'll continue into the Old City through the Zion Gate and into the Jewish Quarter, where you'll witness four Sephardic synagogues which date back to the 17th and 18th centuries.

Next, at the Byzantine Cardo, marvel at findings of ongoing archaeological excavations and the excavated foundations of an ancient wall that stood 2,700 years ago during the reign of King Hezekiah. At the Kotel, the 2000-year-old Western Wall, you'll learn about the Second Temple and have a chance to place a prayer note between the stones of this ancient wall. Then, you'll exit the Old City through the Dung Gate, where you can explore the excavation site of the City of David which, dates back 3000 years. Finally, you will rest at the Spring of Gihon and contemplate that it was here that Zadok the priest, anointed Solomon king of Israel. A visit to Yad Vashem and the Holocaust Museum completes your day.
