What to expect
Discover a unique day trip from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains Ourika Valley.The journey begins by picking you up from your Hotel or Riad in Marrakech around 9 O’clock. On the way to the Atlas Mountains you will enjoy the unique view of the olive tree groves. The first amazing view of the Marrakech day trip starts with the panoramic view of the village Tnine Ourika. Tnine Ourika is famous for its Great Weekly market. The market is set every Monday and there all the people living nearby are coming to buy their daily goods. The tour continues through a lot of berber villages and cultivated terraces, till you reach the village Timziline. At this point the adventure continues by crossing a wonderful traditional bridge. Next the journey carries on up to Ourika valley. The last stunning village you will get to visit is Setti Fadma, which marks the end of the Tarmac road. Once up there you will get off to have lunch in a local restaurant. The tour ends with a visit to the waterfalls.

We had an amazing time on this excursion. We had a lovely driver called Ali, please pass on our thanks to him! Once at the Atlas Mountains we had a local guide who took us up the mountain, stunning views and such a lovely way of life around there and we had lunch sat by the stream, it was perfect :)

Good communication. Driver polite abs helpful. Stops along the way with good clean toilets Guide pleasant and helpful. Both provided great insight into life in Morocco. Restaurant by river was clean and cheap and food really good.

Tanto el conductor como el guía fueron muy amables y atentos con nosotros. Mustapha nos acompañó en nuestra ruta por el pueblo y a las cascadas explicándonos cosas interesantes de su pueblo Bereber. Como pega, no pudimos ver el mercado que ponían los Lunes en uno de los pueblos.

Would very highly recommend this !! The driver Zakariyae was very good, felt safe at all times and was lovely to chat too. He made sure we always knew where he would be and asked if we wanted to stop to get some food photos. He also reminded us that the guide was included so not to pay. The tour guide Khalid was lovely took some amazing photos for us and gave a great experience. The river restaurant was beautiful only 120 for a 3 course. Overall, you should book this !!

Chauffeur très sympathique mais parle principalement anglais. Ce n’était pas un problème dans notre cas mais cela aurait pu bloquer un peu la relation si nous ne parlions pas anglais. Visite très sympa avec un guide façon indiana jones qui c’est adapté aux capacités de nos 2 enfants.

Sehr schöner Ausflug. Unser Fahrer Ali schlug einen Stopp am Anima Garten von Andre Heller vor, lohnt sich! (Eintritt MAD 120) Im Ourika Tal trafen wir Wanderführer Said. Für ca. 1,5 h Wanderung (feste Schuhe!) zu den Fällen entstehen Extrakosten für den Guide, zahlbar vor Ort, EUR 25 / EUR 35, je nachdem wie weit. War gut angelegt - Said ist super nett, bei unwegsamer Strecke immer eine helfende Hand, haben uns gut unterhalten und Einblicke bekommen. Genauso bei Ali, sehr sympathisch und top!

Het was een toffe ervaring! Zowel de chauffeur (yassin) als de gids waren geweldig en behulpzaam! Ze legden ons alles netjes uit, en hielpen ons waarbij nodig was. De gids was zo behulpzaam/lief dat zelfs mijn zoon van 2 jaar moest huilen bij het gedag zeggen.

Great day out. Guides were both very good and a thoroughly enjoyable day. All very very positive but two points. One is for the holiday maker - please be aware this is a difficult walk up a mountain but if you are used to that than very much worth doing. Secondly, food is not included and the guide showed us a very nice restaurant by the river. Food was good at the time but we noticed on leaving desert was kept outside to be served and we are sure this is why we had upset tummies......
