Elif, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Lycian Rock Tombs are elaborate burial chambers that were carved into the cliffs over two millennia ago by the Lycians to honour members of the ruling class. They are dramatically lit in the evening – it's a really atmospheric experience.'First up, you'll have a couple of hours to explore Dalyan's historic town centre under the twinkle of dusk. It's home to a variety of shops, cafés, and historical sites, and known for its traditional Turkish architecture, with Ottoman influences from the 16th-century. Look out for the intricately decorated Dalyan mosque – and the friendly locals.After your free time in town, it's time for dinner. You'll tuck into a Turkish barbecue at a riverside restaurant where you can relax and enjoy the locally sourced, freshly prepared food. And to round off the evening, you'll enjoy a tranquil boat ride along the Dalyan River to see the famous Lycian tombs carved into the rock face. These tombs date back to the 4th century BC – so they're almost 2,500 years old – and show influences of Anatolian, Greek and Persian designs.

This was a disappointing trip. We were picked up and were told by the guide that it would take just over an hour depending on traffic to reach Dayalan. However, the reality is that it took nearly 1.5 - 2 hours which was also the case upon the return so no traffic due to the lateness coming back. The trip itself, mixed feelings. You are dropped into Dayalan and have free time before joining the boat, the town is small but nice. The boat trip itself and the meal served was amazing.

It was a long trip. Pick up 230 pm and drop off 11pm. Some people might not realise this. Also bring mosquito spray. We enjoyed the trip very much. Interesting looking around Dalyan. The 2 boat trips, 1 around the lake and second down the river were very informative and interesting. Restaurant meal was very good too. All in all a trip we'd recommend and good value. Our guide, boat captain and driver were all very professional too.

A wonderful time spent exploring the unique sights of this beautiful country. Our tour guide Volcan really made the trip so enjoyable with his expert knowledge of Turkeys traditions and explaining the vast history of his homeland. A very comfortable coach journey along with a river boat trip,culminating in a typical Turkish meal, made for an unforgettable experience. I can thoroughly recommend this Dalyan at Dusk Tour to anyone who is looking for a relaxing evening.

Die Tour als Solches war schön, aber das Essen im Paradise Restaurant eine Katastrophe!!! Das Lokal ist eine richtige Drecksbude geworden und das Essen war kein Buffet, sondern wurde serviert, das allerdings in 2 Teilen, die ersten bekamen etwas und der Rest musste eine halbe Stunde darauf warten, unverschämt! Den Personal ging es wohl nur um Getränkeverkauf!! Das kommt auf TUI zurück und war das Geld nicht wert! Letztes Jahr war es noch top!! Da war ich auch da

The food is really bad. Tour was rubbish. No value for money. My opioj. Dont go to Turkey. U get arrased every shop u pass. Almost bullied. Out of 6 experience booked on 2 went ahead. 2 never turned up and had to wait a hour 1 day no bus transfer picked us up. Then again the following day. Also much much cheaper to book local. My advice, don't pick tui. Complete let down to what was ment to be a really good holiday. Stress after stress.

Spent 3 hours on a bus which we were not told. Didn't have dinner till 2000pm from eating a small breakfast as pick up early, dinner should have been at 1700pm then a boat tour. More time should be given in the town we visited as only got 30 minutes instead of a boat tour were we saw nothing till the tombs at the end after an hour half boat ride.

We enjoyed the guided tour because it allowed us to relax and enjoy the area. It was nice to see the beach but I don't think it is necessary for a long stay at the beach to swim. All other participants were on holiday at the beach so another swim was not really necessary. There was too much time just sitting around. More time could have been spent at Dalyan seeing the Tombs during daylight hours and after dinner the Tombs again lite up. A good trip for all.

The turtle rescue wasn’t quite as I expected - it’s very basic and there were only 3/4 turtles to see (which I also understand is a good thing). Iztuzu beach is beautiful but we didn’t get a lot of time there. The changing booths are great. The cafe only takes card payment - I wasn’t aware of this before the trip and didn’t take mine with me. Dalyan is a beautiful town, with lots to see but we didn’t have enough time there to properly look around The boat trip was stunning and BBQ was lovely

The bus ride is long and needs better air con. The BBQ was nice but the mosquitoe bites was a bit much and no warning The guide was lovely very knowledgable and the beach at Itzuzu was amazing along with the Turtles. Great Trip, Coach tavel from hotel to start trip 2 3/4 hrs with stops far to long, beach was ok river trip great, meal at riverside very nice but ought to ban smoking at tables, as non smokers we had smokers both sides of us while food was out, we left our food and walked around.

The tour was great, it made a lovely change to get out and do something that didn’t include the mud baths. The guide was great and informative, he really knew his stuff and had a fab sense of humour too. We would’ve preferred to have gone to tiurtle bay on a boat rather than drive for almost two hours in a not so cool bus.

Guide was informative but could have done with longer in the town to look around. Choice of restaurant was poor (run down and empty vast spaces) with limited food choice, no labels telling you what the food was and no offer suitable for kids like sausages or nuggets. Most young children will not eat a meat ball or piece of chicken. Drinks were also very expensive at the restaurant and it felt like you had the male staff constantly watching over you

We were a bit worried of what to expect from Dalyan at dusk +turtle beach . No need to have worried! The tour guide (Genghis) was informative from the word go and was so interesting to listen to. Turtle hospital and the beach were lovely and again, very interesting. The countryside, the bus ride, the boat trip pre dinner were brilliant. Dalyan itself is a delightful town. The boat trip after dinner to the tombs was again, very informative .We were so lucky with our guide.

The tour guide was very informative but talked rather too much when we would rather she kept quiet so we could enjoy the wonderful scenery. Supper and the venue very good although we had to wait for the chicken and meatballs to be ready. Boat trip excellent but spoilt somewhat by the playing of music. Loved walking round Dalyan at night - a very vibrant place. Overall an excellent trip and good value for money.

This tour was excellent value for money. Our tour guide Rosie was very knowledgable. We packed a lot in, I had always wanted to go to the Turtle Hospital and I finally got my wish. Also time to relax on a lovely beach. A river boat tour at sunset and later to see the lit up tombs of the ancients. Time in beautiful Dalyan we loved that place so much such a chilled out vibe. We are going to book to stay next year. Also a lovely evening barbecue by the river was included.

Enjoyed most of the day. Didn't see the point of wondering through Daylan at night. Looking at items that where more expensive to buy than shops in area of Turkyie I was staying. There where young children on this excursion and as over 2 hour transfer this could have been missed out.

Trip was well balanced and had enough time at each stop. The restaurant we had dinner at was massively overcharging on drinks - 240 lira (£8~) for a beer and a Coke which is very expensive for Turkey. The buffet food was also hit and miss.

Two hours at the beach and turtle sanctuary was perfect. The guide was excellent, very clear and informative and very helpful. The food wasn't great. More time in Dalyan and a food offering there before the boat trip would be a better option I think. Bar prices where we ate were significantly higher than in Dalyan (TL90 in Dalyan vs. TL150 at the BBQ venue).

Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Boat trip was the highlight with the driver being a great host and child friendly. Our son drove the boat for a good 10minutes. Being picky the only thing that I marked down for was the coach wasn’t very clean and had zip ties holding chairs together and screens where broken (not that we used them) Overall an amazing experience.

Too much time on the coach this needs to be addressed on the site so that people can make up their minds whether or not to go, some of the people on the coach had been on there a good two hours before we were picked up and then we were on there 2 hours before we reached the first destination. We left the hotel at 1.30 and did not arrive back until 11.15 so along day travelling.

We loved this trip. Our guide was lovely and very informative. The whole day was really well thought out and ran like clockwork. It turned out to be one of our favourite days of our holiday, it was really relaxing, travelling down the river. The scenery is quite amazing. It was a great way to see the turtle sanctuary and the tomb of the King’s. The trip to Dalyan was great. The food was lovely in a beautiful restaurant. There was nothing we didn’t love!

The guide Ghengis was brilliant but we felt the trip started too early as there was a lot of free time . The food was supposed to be a bbq I opted for fish when booking the trip , there wasn't any only chicken skewers and small burgers and drinks even soft ones had to be bought.

Our hotel (Turunc resort, Turkey) was really nice & in an idyllic location. The transfers were comfortable and we felt safe especially as some rds where on sheer cliffs! The trip to the turtle sanctuary, turtle Beach and dalman tombs was great, the guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable (pm 2nd June 23) My only 'gripe' was that there was no food or drinks complimentary on the flights which I would think a 4 hour + flight would include something...but not even a bottle of water

The turtle centre and boat trip was fun. However the restaurant food wasn't as good as the hotel, and we didn't like just being dumped in Dalyan for 90 minutes. Don't believe this was accurately described on the website. The guide was nice but twice she just set off in a hurry leaving people behind! (including a couple of elderly ladies) Not good. Overall pretty disorganised This excursion was not suitable for children in our opinion, in particular pushchairs (and wheelchairs) as not accessible.

Tried to fit too much in... as turned out only had about 40 mins free time to utilize beach, and no free time to explore Dalyan (just enough time to get a milkshake). Meal ok, but troubled by mosquitos - no mention of needing spray in the information and no time to pick any up in dalyan before boat tour. Driver and Guide both good, but really need to look at the scheduling to make this a recommended tour - especially for those of us with mobility issues.

Excellent Turkish guide who throughout the whole trip informed us greatly (and with some humour) on many aspects of Turkey today as well as the history connected with the tombs at Dalyan. The Tour itself was fantastic, lots of elements to it so really felt you got a lot for your money, and the bbq dinner was very tasty. Our Tour guide was fantastic, he was so friendly and knowledgeable, and really couldn't have done anymore to ensure you were having a good time. My only small criticism (not really a criticism, more of a personal preference) would be that I wish we had a little less time at the beach, and more time instead in Dalyan. All in all, very enjoyable

This is an amazing tour, the guide was very knowledgeable, the turtle centre was lovely and interesting and the boat trip was really lovely. The only downside is that with the meal which is included the drinks weren't, this is not mentioned in the information for the trip and it meant we didn't have enough money to buy anything else. Tui should really make people aware of this.

The tour guide, Elif, was great - very knowledgeable. The bbq dinner was superb. Really enjoyed the turtle sanctuary and turtle beach. The boat trip to see the tombs was really lovely. Photos were taken of us on the boat and are available to purchase in a special booklet for £15. These are great quality. So pleased we booked it. Only thing - it would be helpful to have a rough idea of time it takes to get there in advance.

The guide, she did a great job. The river cruise was fantastic and seeing the Lycean tombs lit up at night was memorable. The only issue was being ripped off for drinks at the Riverside restaurant. There is no price list and charges £20 for two glasses of wine and two fruit juices. Also remember to bring some insect repellant for the river!

I thought I’d booked the tour with the mud baths and steam so didn’t know about the beach time. We were emailed and told to wear trainers etc and we’re the only people in them. The river cruises was up and back a part of the river with nothing particular to see. The restaurant on the river, we’re absolutely plagues by wasps so ate our food as fast is we can so couldn’t enjoy it and then moved away and were eaten alive by mosquitoes. The tour guide was knowledgeable and kind but hard to understan

We went on the tour with Rosie the tour guide and Jim the driver, both were fantastic. It was amazing to see the turtle rescue centre and Itsuzu beach where we had time to swim. The boat tour at Dalyan was beautiful, and we stopped for dinner at a restaurant on the river, the food was really nice. Seeing the tombs from the river was fascinating and Rosie was very informative and helpful. A really good trip

Enjoyed the turtle rescue, time at the beach and the tombs were fascinating. The lake was ok and the town visit was also just ok - some more guidance on points of interest might have helped here. Low ratings are due to time on the coach. The tour is advertised as 8 hours but it took 11 due to spending nearly 3 hours picking everyone up from various hotels. This was disappointing. Our guide was great though.

Boat trip itself was fab! Views and scenery were lovely. Dinner was a disappointment- dogs and cats not only running around where where food was being prepared and eaten but also fighting. People who were organising this in the restaurant were also feeding the animals. We were so glad to get back on the boat. The turtle sanctuary was also disappointing- very run down and not a lot to see. Not really a trip for kids in my opinion.

The tour guide was very lovely and seemed very knowledgeable particularly in the agriculture of the local area. The tour itself had the feeling of being quite rushed with only an hour or so at the beach and only 30 minutes to explore the town. Might be better to have the beach tour separate. Overall still a lovely experience but not recommended.

The whole trip was AMAZING! The transfer was late collecting us- maybe a REP at the gate for departure to inform us what was happening? Not a complaint AT ALL just a suggestion. We were happy to wait and understand things happen. Transfer, food, guide 5* Perhaps put in the ‘things you need to bring’ section could you put mosquito spray?!?! When we stopped to hear info on tombs the whole boat was bitten 15+ times! Had we of bring spray this wouldn’t of happened. Again just a suggestion

Tui advise ‘adults only’ when this is not the case: little juniors were on our tour and they were aggravating. Tui advise ‘unbeatable value with no hidden costs’ when this is not the case: guides are very well versed to ask for tips and there was not even water with the bbq and on another trip to a blue lagoon, the guides AGAIN push for tips and we all felt obliged to pay to get into a private beach club. It was awkward. The coaches were nice with air-con and the staff were polite & welcoming.

Relatively stress free holiday. Using the tui app was simple and kept us well informed. Overall we thought the holiday was excellent value for money, flights were on time, hotel was excellent, tui hotel rep was very good. Only slightly disappointing aspect was the transfer times, tui were more than optimistic in saying only 1 hour.

The guide was fantastic but the first coach was hot and cramped and the driver was a danger to himself and his passengers. Thankfully our guide managed to get a new driver and coach to get us safely home.

To start with are pick up was late, the driver and guide did not get on . We had to stop for petrol where the driver hit one of the petrol pumps and damaged the bus while we was on it. Did not get an even sorry from him. Tour guide was ok , gave lots of information. driver was very poor at his job. At the end of the day the tour was cut short so guide could catch up. Got new bus and drivers for going back . Request refund due to bad bus trip and accident at petrol station

Absolutly fantastic day out, it took about 8hr as stated on the Tui page, everything well organized. Boat trip and captian of the boat was fab, he was making own honey(60TL) and pomagradane juice (25 TL )highly recommend both. Guild was well prepared and answer questions with confident and knowledge. We were familly with 2 kids, age 11 amd 5. Both enjoyed it. Would highly recommend for anyone, worth money!!
