What to expect

On your day-trip from Amsterdam, you will see two of Holland's springtime highlights; the lovely Dutch Countryside and the wondrous Keukenhof flower fields. In the countryside you will stop in the lively villages of Zaanse Schans, Volendam and Marken.

In Zaanse Schans you will have free time to wander among the ten windmills whcih line the banks of the Zaan river. While in Volendam you will visit a cheese factory to learn more about how the Dutch make cheese and have a little taste before taking a 30-minute scenic boat ride between Volendam and Marken. On Marken you’ll visit a traditional clog, or wooden shoe, maker where clogs are still made according to a 100-year-old tradition with steam powered tools before continuing your excursion to the flower fields.

Finally, enter the flower exhibition at Keukenhof, covering 15 kilometres of footpaths, where more than seven million flowers are displayed over a wonderful park replete with stunning flor displays and sculptures.
