What to expect
Located at Rådhusplassen in the heart of Oslo, the Nobel Peace Center stands as a testament to human achievements and aspirations for peace. The museum is housed in the historic Vestbanen building from 1872, right across from the City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony takes place every year. The Peace Center features both permanent and temporary exhibitions focusing on the Nobel Peace Prize laureates, Alfred Nobel, and the history of the Peace Prize.Every Wednesday, the Nobel Peace Center is open until 8:00 PM with extra guided tours and events included in the ticket. Inside the museum, you can explore fascinating stories of the Peace Prize laureates through engaging exhibitions, photographs, and interactive experiences. The museum shop offers unique products inspired by the laureates and exhibitions, with a focus on originality and sustainability.

Know in advance:
Every Friday at 12.00 (in the summer half-year 9th of May-October), a peace dove is released from the window above the entrance, together with “The Good News of the Week”

The Nobel Peace Center is situated in the old train station, in the heart of Oslo between the Oslo City Hall and the shopping areas at Aker Brygge. You can also directly access from the Oslo Airport, getting off at the Nationaltheatret station.
