Enjoyed- hotel was much better than expected - clean and nice. Pace of the trip was very good considering all the travelling. The local park guide was superb. Very varied and felt we saw lots of very different and interesting places. Negatives- poor information regarding coach transfer - No one checked from the coach company and we were never informed that we would have to catch a second coach in Varadero. The TUI rep was very poor (English speaking) and spent most of his time with the French.

We particularly enjoyed the diversity of the 2 day trip - towns one day, hiking the next. We learned so much in those 2 days about both geography and history. What could have been improved is the information we received beforehand regarding what to take with us and there was an issue with the pick up from the hotel in that we didn't realise that we were bus sharing with people going on other trips, hence we did not get on the bus initially. Hence, lack of information.

Absolutely enjoyed this trip throughout, totally worth going! Jungle is amazing and so are the cities on the tour. All meals included, the hotel is fine and the guide is very knowledgeable.

Brilliant couple of days, our guide.Victor, was really friendly and obviously loved his job. He was very informative and happy to answer any questions we had. The rain forest walk was incredible and our guide there was brilliant also. The overnight accommodation was a little underwhelming but given we were in the forest it didn’t matter. Great trip, would highly recommend

There's lots of travelling..but to be expected with the distance travelled, however there was unnecessary back and forwards to 'lunch' (@3pm!) on the first day. Surely it must be possible to eat in one of the towns being stopped at? Stop at Trinidad was too long (2hrs in 34o heat). Che Guevara visit may justify time...if you can read Spanish. Toilets are basic, no toilet paper and no running water (be prepared). Take lots of cash for drinks/snacks. Los Pinos hotel/food was fine.Enjoyed trek/swim

Day 1 is a tour of two old towns and a trip through the countryside. 5 hours on a coach, enlightening but a little boring by the end of the day. Stay in a very 1960s concrete hotel in the jungle. Day 2 is fantastic with a russian truck offroad adventure, guided nature walk through a jungle with amazing waterfalls, a swim, then in the afternoon another 4+ coach via the Che Guevera memorial. Our guide Andre was fantastic - shared stories, knowledge and really looked after the group. Recommend

You have to be prepared for and accept the long coach journeys. The first visit to Cienfuegos is a bit pointless and not interesting at all, other than the viewing from the coach of the posh, brightly coloured houses. The trip actually really starts from reaching Trinidad de Cuba, really nice place and interesting. Topes de Collantes, Santa Clara were the other highlights.

It was a great trip. There is a lot of time spent on the coach-but it was great to see more of Cuba. And the coach was comfortable and had air conditioning. The guide was informative and the towns we stopped at were interesting to visit. The hotel is basic however it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Our room had a new bathroom. The food was a delicious, beautifully presented buffet and much better than our hotel's buffet! The next day was very good-the local guide was really knowledgeable

Our tour guide, Jack, was superb. His English was excellent, as was his knowledge of Cuba and he was fun! Where we stayed in Topes de Collantes was good, clean and tidy and beds were very comfortable. Only downside was the food. Loved the journey in the Russian trucks and our guide on the trek was also excellent. We really enjoyed the trek and swimming by the waterfalls. The second day was the best - 10/10. On day 1 we watched lady roll cigars in Trinidad. Very interesting. Learned a lot.

Really enjoyed our trip to Topes de Collantes. You do spend a long time on the bus but the guide, Michel, helped pass the time with his knowledge sharing and insights on the journey, as well as a few stops on the way. Cienfuegos and Trinidad are beautiful cities - it would have been nice to spend more time in Cienfuegos, especially as we had a long off-road trip to the restaurant afterwards which didn’t feel necessary. The hotel was pretty good and Day 2 was awesome! Definitely worth doing.

This experience really made our holiday on Cuba. It was great to experience the "real Cuba". I had read reviews that the hotel was not great and basic but it was just fine. The trek through the rain forest was fantastic and the guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint would be that I think we needed to spend slightly more time in Cienfeugos to explore a bit but I appreciate there was a lot to fit in in one day. Highly recommend this experience!

Great overall trip great to see more of the real Cuba. Could have done with longer in Cienfuegos only had 30 minutes not long enough should have had lunch there instead of driving to restaurant in park as no time to spend there anyway so pointless really. Good trip to mountains good walk easy to do. Great swim in little waterfall pool. Lovely restaurant for lunch. Santa Clara che Guevara museum not much really could maybe stop somewhere else. Overall great trip to see real Cuba.

The 2 day trip was very good showing us a lot more than just sitting on the beach a very good experience guide was excellent start to finish an echo guide was amazing very informative very enjoyable and the coach driver was really lovely too little hotel we stayed in overnight all in all it’s very good are you comfortable meta needs one night would definitely recommend this to day trip to my friends and family or anyone else but you must be Mobile because it can be quite difficult when climbing

This trip is not for the feint hearted. Day 1 takes you to Cienfuegos and Trinidad, both beautiful, but not enough free time to roam around. The hotel in the mountains for the overnight stop is basic to say the least. Obviously government run. It would have been much nicer to have had the evening in Trinidad. Day two has a three hour morning walk but don’t stay this put you off. It’s the best biit, with a stop for swimming in natural pools.. Be prepared for lots of time in a bus!

Hotel was awful. We were kept waiting over an hour and had to queue for something to eat after a ten hour gruelling trip in 90 degree heat. Windows in room not secure which was eventually fixed. Room very very dated and felt damp. Food quality poor and had to do a 6km trek after eating only two pieces of toast. We visited Trinidad and felt very vulnerable not a place to be left to explore alone. Guide was knowledgable and enjoyed the rain forest trip itself l.

The guide Lionel was superb .. Coach travel was OK .. 730km but a good driver with a comfortable coach .. The restaurants for lunch were good and the jungle/waterfall walk also very enjoyable .. Sadly the overnight hotel was poor even by Cuban standards surly staff 1960's hotel rooms and beds that were creaky old camp style beds ...

Very long journey especially is you are staying in Jibacoa as you pick up in Varedero adds an extra 1.5 hours each way. A wonderful experience but not if you struggle with mobility. The waterfalls and truck ride was amazing.

The trip should go directly to Trinidad. The forest trek was fantastic. Although the accommodations looked like stalag 19 it was surprisingly comfortable. The guide was excellent although politically biased about Cuba and voiced his interpretations.

Andrew was an excellent guide The highlight of the tour was visiting the national park and having an experienced nature guide who made the walk so so interesting with eating fallen pods to explanation of medicinal nature productsswimming in the the waterfalls to the fantastic lunch venue and best tasting chicken on tour The food at all locations was very good It was just so great travelling thru the real Cuba and seeing how they live Tours to Cienfuegos ok Trinidad good MUST GO TOUR

The forest trek was superb & the company doing the tour was great, the only problem was the transfers to/from Varadero (where the trip sets off from) from Memories Jibacoa, it says transfers are included but in reality this is not strictly true, going was fine but we had to pay for a taxi to get back from Varadero because there wasn't a bus coming back the day we returned as there wasn't a catamaran trip that day. This then is false advertising on Tui's part, it says the transfers are included so it shouldn't matter which hotel you are in, we booked this trip before we went & only found this out after we arrived & had to pay an additional £60 for a taxi, to say I am very unimpressed with Tui about this is a huge understatement.

Amazing to go to Trinidad. Some of the stops where short and would have been good to have some pointers of which way to go and what to see in the free time. The truck into the mountains was great fun and the walk was not too difficult. Some amazing wildlife to be seen. Don’t forget your swim stuff if you want to swim in the pool and jump off the waterfall The hotel and food could be a little better. No hot water for a shower in the morning and then a power cut so doing hair by torch light was not great. Overall the trip was well worth it and great to see the real Cuba and not tourists varadero.

I enjoyed be able to see what Cuba was really like getting away from the tourist areas of Varadero and Havana. The scenery is great and there were a number of historic and cultural buildings.
