Op deze exclusieve tour verken je de meest spectaculaire gebieden in het binnenland van Tenerife. Je rijdt in een minibusje met acht zitplaatsen door de buitenaardse landschappen van het Teide Nationaal Park en je bewondert de panorama's vanaf talloze uitkijkpunten. Ook bezoek je het dorpje Masca op de top van de bergkam. Qua lunch staat er een smakelijke traditionele Canarische maaltijd op het menu. Arianne, één van onze deskundige plaatselijke gidsen, zegt: “Ik vind het geweldig om deze rondleiding te geven omdat het een geweldige dosis natuur is, met de nadruk op de vulkanologie van het eiland, van het verleden tot het heden."Je avontuur begint in zuidelijke richting in het Teide Nationaal Park, dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat, met een klim door een dicht dennenbos. Je maakt een pitstop bij het uitkijkpunt Chirche, vanwaar je regelmatig uitkijkt over het met wolken bedekte terrein. Hier barst het nog van het groen. Maar als we dieper het nationale park in trekken, kom je vulkanische landschappen tegen die zo op de maan, Venus of Mars zouden kunnen staan. Desolate, met rotsen bezaaide landschappen, echt een bijzondere belevenis! Tijdens een stop bij Roques de Garcia heb je de tijd voor een paar foto's van deze iconische rotsformaties, met natuurlijk die o-zo bijzondere vulkaankegel op de achtergrond.Werp een laatste blik op de door lava uitgesleten landschappen bij het uitkijkpunt Poleos voordat je neerstrijkt in een familierestaurant voor een lunch van seizoensgebonden en lokaal geproduceerde ingrediënten. We sluiten de dag af met een bezoek aan Masca, een moeilijk bereikbaar plaatsje op een heuvelrug in een diepe vulkanische kloof. Geniet hier van wat vrije tijd en neus rond terwijl je de prachtige uitzichten in je opneemt.

Would have liked to stop to see the fat tree which was talked as we drove past. Really pleased to have Ivan as our guide and driver - he was an excellent driver in many challenging spots and was extremely knowledgable. He was also very kind, friendly and courteus.

Day went perfectly. Brilliant humorous guide Ivan. 2nd driver excellent, they worked as a team. Really impressed with meal provided. Pick up and drop off on time. Bring arm clothing.

Our guide Ivan was first class, lots of local knowledge and a very safe driver. We could not specify vegetarian lunch when we booked the trip online but he sorted it out with the restaurant when we arrived

The guide ‘Ivor’ was very informative and excellent company with a wicked sense of humour. The other two drivers were really good too. The scenery was spectacular. Driving inside a volcano, and the set of Star Wars and other well know films, was amazing and a great experience. The included lunch was average. Not hot, but luke warm.

Excellent guide. We booked on a German tour, as no English one was available on the day, but Christine was very accommodating and happy to speak in English or German. It would have been useful to have more details of the itinerary on the website (even if they might be subject to change for bad weather etc). Duration of tour was shown as 4 to 8 hours, which seemed rather strange.

Our trip started off with some confusion over the bookings and allocation of people to different drivers. This meant that we wasted a bit of time going back to collect people and that we didn't hear the start of the guide. Once we got sorted, the excursion and guide info was very good and the lunch was fab. Some more info from our driver on what was happening would have been helpful at the start to reassure us though.

Our trip on 2 October was excellent - our guides knowledge was very interesting and I would highly recommend. Driving to Masca is quite scary around the cliff and his driving was excellent.

Really loved being picked up from the hotel, the choice of food, the stops and different bits of the tour. It was a pity we couldn’t get the cable car to the top but it was all still good. Only criticism is that we were in a car with a polish family so the driver spoke polish and we had to listen to the intercom from the other car which made it hard to hear and understand sometimes.

We enjoyed a lovely tour to Masca and Tiede, we were in a 9 seater MPV for the tour. Our guide was lovely and took us to Masca first to avoid the tourists, he was very knowledgeable and friendly and recommended what to do on our short stops. The only negative is that the car overheated so we were stuck waiting on another car to take us to the restaurant to wait. The tour lasted from 9am until 4pm so we'll worth the money and very interesting tour to go on

Excellent trip with very knowledgeable guides. Excellent food. Only reason we did give a 10 is that we got picked up 15 mins late with no communication. The lunchtime meal , although good food, was rushed through and 10 mins more time would have been fantastic. That being said all other aspects of the trip were excellent.

Ivan was a great guide and had a lot of fascinating insights into the island and volcanic activity. We did this exact tour last year and they’ve changed the order of where you go. Ending the tour in Vilaflor is a bit of a let down as there’s little to see here. The lunch spot has also changed which is a huge improvement! I would have liked the allocated time at the lunch spot as we were rushed off after the food and I would have liked time to enjoy the amazing view of Teide.

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our English speaking guide Ivan was very good. Weather was a little inclement but added atmosphere on the valley floor. (Awesome drive down there). Lunch was good and value for money. I would definitely recommend. Take your camera, sights are awesome - literally.

We enjoyed a fascinating day with Joseph/Jose, who was the perfect guide: knowledgeable, friendly and a brilliant driver - some of the roads required considerable skill and our guide had it! We'll always remember our day in the volcanoes - such an amazing landscape, and it was great to learn so much along the way. Can definitely recommend this tour.

This was an excellent day out starting with a pick up from our hotel. The driver/guide was very knowledgable and gave us a really good insight into the area, history and things to look for. The whole day was brilliant - we couldn't fault it other than the firtst stop was so short and the toilet queues so long all we managed to do was the toilet! Not the fault of the guide. Later we had a much longer coffee break so all was ok.

Our Guide Ronaldo was very informative and friendly. The guide team were very clear about pick up and top off times at our various stops and gave us great information about the sights that we were seeing. Tour was organised and the mini Mercedes people carriers were roomy and comfy. The meal at the restaurant was very tasty, the chicken was succulent and tasty and we enjoyed the tapas starters. Great tour and great views.

Intressant och lärorikt. Bra ordning. Guidningen över radio var mycket bra och intressant. Vår chaufför, Rainaldo var dessutom duktig att guida och dessutom köra. Vi kände oss mycket trygga med honom på färden till Masca. Tillräckligt med tid vid alla stopp. Utflykten kan rekommenderas.

The views were great and the guide was very polite, organised and informative. But there were some important negatives. The van was over 15 minutes late, so we waited over 25 minutes - this was apparently due to a mix up regarding start times for one of the clients. Secondly the commentary was in English and Polish. We had been promised just in English. This was very irritating, particularly given how loud the commentary is. There was a mix-up on our starting point which led to much stress.

A very intuitive and informational experience. Knowledge of the guide Joseph was impressive. We asked questions and he answered. The tour was in both English and French so others on our tour (8 persons in total) could understand. The breaks were frequent and the break for lunch was welcomed. I would suggest that people who join this experience are made aware of the amount of walking, mobility is quite high and would not be recommended to persons with limited mobility

Booking, pickup time and promptness, driver/guide, itinerary/stops, length of stops, driver/guide, were all excellent. The included lunch was at a restaurant with fantastic views. The food was exactly as described (but perhaps not as sumptuous as we might have imagined), and lunch also included water on the table and a glass of wine each. The stops were well timed and very interesting. The driver/ guide - Ivan, spoke excellent English and gave us a very informative commentary

An amazing day filled with the most incredible scenery and breathtaking landscapes, with full and fascinating insights into both their formation and history by our very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Very enjoyable day which I would definitely recommend as a must do experience for visitors to the island.

An enjoyable tour with friendly guides and drivers. Description could be more detailed on website as the steep drive down to Masca may not be for everyone and a mini bus tour of the island is hardly VIP, though the method of transport is essential for visiting Masca. Lunch was basic but tasty. Recommended, and remember booking through the app saves 10%
